Has anyone tried The 3rd Birthday on Vita to make sure it works?
I bought it, and didn't realize that some PSP titles may not be compatible.. :/

Excuse my ignorance but I have a question.

All psp games downloaded on the ps3 work so far, apart from the list on OP.
I'm tempted to buy a few from the store (uk) and as I didn't have my psp for long has anyone got recommendations for must have psp games for me to play on the vita?

Sweet, thanks :)
Five more days!!! >_<
I seriously haven't been this excited for a gaming system in a long time.

I was tempted to pick up 3rd Birthday too. Maybe I'll download it during a slow spot.

P.S. I took off on the 15th and we gotta try out cross game chat and all that Jazz.

Amazon.co.uk have dropped the price of the Wifi to £215 and the 3G to £265.

That means for £230 you can get the Wifi, an 8gb card and one of the 5 games. Total saving of £55.

I started to compile that list a few hours ago. There are most likely other titles that aren't compatible. If you want to make sure the games work properly take a look at this list. As for recommendations, what genres do you enjoy? This thread might give you some inspiration.

I didn't.. but I'm hoping that there's a midnight launch at my Gamestop.
If not, I'll just go as soon as they open. XD
But yeah, I'm definitely down to try it out!

Vita will be a slow starter, but I bet when everything is said and done, we'll remember it as the best handheld for gamers ever.

It'll bring us real console experiences for the first time on the go - FFX, MGS 2-3, ZOE, COD, Ninja Gaiden and many other games that stand the test of time well. Hell, I would love to even see Ico + SotC and other classics on it. With the huge PS2+PS3 libraries just one port away, it has the potential to be really the gamer's console.

Unfortunately that's initially not hugely mass appealing, so I bet it will be more of a niche hit.

So before i load my ps3 wallet with alot of money vita shares the same psn wallet as ps3 right?.
If for some weird reason you can't access your PS3 wallet on your PSVita you can just buy the Vita games on the PS3. In fact, you could do so right now if you felt like it.

For those that are buying screen protectors, did you go with the hori brand or the Sony one? I noticed the image of the hori one on Amazon shows that it covers the whole front and not just the screen, but the Sony one gives you two screen protectors. I am leaning towards the hori one, but wanted to see what everyone else is getting.

just to check, I can redownload games easily and as many times as I want, right? Because seems like 16GB is all I can get in UK.

axel something do 32GB imports and ship from europe - about £65.

but yes, you can download as often as you like. if you download on PC/PS3, I think you can use those as fridges and move games back/forth without redownloading each time.

The PS3 deletes the Vita bubble if you transfer it though. You'll need to redownload.

Now that I think about it, I wonder whether that makes getting a sub-32 GB memory card now a bad idea... or a good idea? Seems like I could hit the limit too easily on anything smaller (or at least smaller than 16 GB), but then again if we get 64 and 128 (and if the tech allows it years later, 256) GB cards then the 32 GB is going be an embarrassingly undersized card for how much you paid to be future proof.

I'm thinking the 16 GB is best when factoring in PSP games, 8 GB when not for the short term, if those guesses are for real. If this ends up like the PS1/2 where we never see an increase in sizes that'd be lame, but those only came in one size period.

When I get my WiFi Vita, is there any benefit of linking my PSN account from my PlayStation 3 if I don't own it any more or it wil be better to create a new account just for the Vita?

I'm thinking that 16GB allows me to have at least 5 games comfortably with me at any time, I don't probably ever have more games in rotation than that. Typically 2-3 hot new titles and a 1-2 evergreens.

Yeah. Games like Gravity Rush are pretty small, around 1.3GB so you can squeeze in plenty.

Frobisher says and t@g, some awesome looking Vita apps, are going to be free! FREE!

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2012/02/10/playstation-vita-discovery-apps-frobisher-says-and-tg/

Frobisher Says is available for free as a pre-order incentive at the launch of PS Vita on 22 February. It will be available to download for free to all PS Vita owners in May 2012.

t@g will be available to download for free from PlayStation Store in May 2012; it utilises GPS functionality and is therefore only compatible with the 3G model of PS Vita.

YES !

I think this has probably been answered a thousand times, but can you backup full games from your memory card to your PC using the Vita and the CMA application?

Starting to wish i hadn't ordered from Tesco... :P

Can them and change then!

I bought the Hori one which coincidentally has just arrived from Amazon.co.uk which I can confirm are GLOSS. You can also see what the protector will cover.

Has anyone tried the following PSP games on the Vita?

Capcom Classics: Reloaded; Killzone: Liberation; Pursuit Force; MGS: Graphic Novel; Patchwork Heroes

I know so far Twisted Metal: Head On and Portable Ops don't work, as per the OP. But according to a few other sources, PJ: Monsters Deluxe and Jeanne D'Arc work.
