is there a way to easily grab the japanese vita demos, like how you can download 360 demos and just copy them to USB or burn them?

i don't have a japanese ps3 account created, but i'd love to try the gravity daze demo.
is there a way to download it and just copy it to the ps3, then use the content manager to get it to the vita? or is it just easier to create a japanese ps3 account?

I can't stop playing Ys 7. Somebody help me lol

Just bough awesome grips today, from Gamestop. They really make holding the Vita comfortable.

I got that 2 days ago, best purchase since the Vita itself.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I may need to get this, I have the triggers for the PS3 controller and refuse to use a controller without them now.

EDIT: How well do the triggers here work?

I was checking those out at work today after I bought my Vita on my break. They are comfortable then? We only have one pair, so if you say they are, I'll get them tomorrow.

The triggers work really well to be honest. They are not too loose or too hard to press. You won't be pressing them by mistake.

The grips are also really comfortable (at least for me) and are made of a rather... Smooth material. They feel good in the hand, and I have really big hands.

For 17$ + tax, I really can't complain to be honest. It's the first time I buy grips and I don't regret it, so yeah. :)

What's the combat like in Trails in the sky? Is the story good?

Combat is turn based, with your typical skill sets and stuff like that. It's not terribly hard to get into but if you want all the skill sets...could take a while.

Story was fantastic I thought..just a fair warning, there's a LOT of reading in this game. A whole hell of a lot of it. I haven't seen a game before this with so much text! Personally I love long, detailed stories like the one in this game so the longer the better. I had no problems with the story, it's length or the amount of text but whether or not you'll want to go through it or not is gonna depend on how much you can tolerate a very long, text heavy, detailed, realized story and world.

It's as fully realized and detailed as you can get. The tiniest bit of these characters and lore are fully realized..exhaustively. This first chapter is basically a great set up for what's to come. With a hell of a cliff hanger to boot.

It's one of the best PSP games period, every fan of RPGs should play it. I enjoyed it very much and for 20 bucks on PSN right now you can't go wrong. I hope they can get the tech issues surrounding Second Chapter fixed and we can experience the entire Trails In The Sky Trilogy!

You're kidding right? Do you actually think you're having issues with your Vita that those of us who will get it on Wednesday won't experience? There isn't going to be some magical fixes available next week that Sony managed to hammer out in a week because FEB buyers have been "beta testing."

This is what happens when you buy first gen hardware. Fortunately, it seems the Vita will be very easy to update, and Sony will iron out these issues soon enough.

BTW, you were the one who elected to bay the premium to get your Vita a week earlier and get a few extra things in the box. Sounds like you have a bit of buyers remorse at this point.

I don't have buyer's remorse in the slightest. I'd buy it again the same way. I think it's just clear that Sony didn't have their act together for this launch. Many of the issues that were present in Japan made it over here as well, so they can't be so simple to fix or else they would have. Other issues that have crept up or missing features have been promised to be fixed or ready by launch. When they say that, they're flat out ignoring that the most hardcore segment of their fans has already experienced launch.

Good to hear, will probably buy at a brick and mortar just to be sure I like them. Although if has the same effect the triggers for the Dual shock had I won't be able to use the vita without the grip.

Thanks, I'll grab them tomorrow then. Should make Uncharted a little more familiar feeling. Are you playing that with them?

I'm definitely getting Katamari when it's out. I've been playing this thing nonstop, but I think Katamari would be a perfect change of pace title to go with the games I already have. Besides, I haven't purchased a Katamari game since the original.

im sorry lol, i thought they were different then the ones mentioned above

Nope they're the same.

I actually didn't get them for any game in particular, as I felt the vita to be uncomfortable for me due to the size of my hands. It was mostly apparent while playing Uncharted, yes. Along with Wipeout.

I'm sure you'll like them.

you'll like it. the controls with the analog sticks are spot on and being able to stretch and extend the ball to grab more objects is a #gamechanger (sorry I had to).

I was so close to getting a Vita today SO CLOSE.

I stopped by a different Best Buy than the one I usually shop at, just to check for the hell of it to see if they had any FEB's left. They didn't. But the guy said his manager said that if I had my preorder receipt on me, from the other BB I had pre-ordered, I could just buy a regular edition Vita tonight.

I DID! It was in my wallet! So we go up to the register and the guy seemed to be having problems scanning the Vita. Then he called someone else over for help. Finally they figured out that they were unable to scan the Vita until next tuesday. So even though the manager ok'd the early sale, they couldn't do it because the fucking computer said no.

AAAAARGH.

Dudes. I am seriously.

So has anyone found out how to get it to use the GPS on Wifi? I set the thing to use the GPS for location, but every time I go to Near it says I traveled 400 miles today. Apparently it thinks I'm 3 states away and then when I refresh it says I'm within a block of where I actually am.

wow dude that really sucks

You got me intrigued, so I watched some youtube clips and now I need to have this game.

I need to stop reading this thread, my wife is going to kill me.

I've been tempted to get Ys Seven, because I bought Ys I & II without knowing that it wasn't compatible with the Vita before it came out. >_<

I'll live. It's only a few more days. Still, it would have been nice to have the Vita this weekend, seeing that it's a 3 day weekend because of President's Day.

WiFi unit doesn't actually have a GPS chip. Only the 3G unit does. WiFi unit uses Skyhook's hotspot bouncing for relative approximate locations. I've heard filling this out helps.

I'd say Lumines if you're into puzzlers, or Hot Shots Golf.

Has anyone put GTA: VCS or LCS on their Vita? Can you map the right analog?

Without knowing what kind of games interest you, I'd say something with online multiplayer.

i jsut want your opinion. online multiplayer doesn't matter. i just want something to keep me over until the next wave of good vita games comes out.

I apologize for a question that's probably been asked a hundred times in this thread, but boy is it big (cuz GAF has taste and likes the Vita);

How does the 3G contract/signup work so I can get my free Stardust? Is it a pretty easy process? Do I need to immediately go and unsubscribe from 3G so they don't bill me eternally? Is THAT easy? Thanks duders.

You can do it right from the Vita, but I kept running into errors. I'm going to try again later tonight, but I lost patience with it on the first day. I think you can do it online as well, which might be a more stable experience right now.

You have to keep the 3G for 30 days in order to get the game

Get the 2 long digits off your Vita. Some kind of SIM and ICCID numbers. Go on your PC and plug them in and buy any data pass. I paid for the 250MB. Go to add a plan in your account settings and activate the 250MB promo and it's good from there. You have 1 month of 250 and another month of 250MB and a code within a month for SSD plus expansion.

So hard waiting for Tuesday for Army Corps of Hell & Shinobido 2. I beat (& loved) Escape Plan, & I'm most of the way through Uncharted.

so what is the best game on the vita that will keep me play for a while?
If you dig old school Tenchu style games, Shinobido 2 seems to be pretty meaty, lots of missions and a whole "play this faction against that faction for your own gain" sub-system. Uncharted seems pretty...Uncharted-y too, so there's that. I've got my eye on Ninja Gaiden Sigma + come Tuesday....Syndicate just got dropped to bargain bin for me.

So I caved and picked up Wipeout and a 32GB memory card. Do I need to activate the 3G on my Vita to use the GPS and Near? I tried both Maps and Near today at work where I dont have wifi and both things kept saying could not connect.

You should check out some gamestops in your area...several of them in my area don't seem to know the street dates for those games, and I've already seen Shiniobido 2 available at several. I already picked up Touch my Katamari from one, and I know that's a next week title.

I am playing it right now and mapping the d-pad to the right stick is beautiful.
Sweet, thank you, purchase confirmed! Does it look any better running on Vita or is it the same? Also, why in the purple fuck aren't Phantasy Star Portable & PSP2 Vita compatible Sega???? You hate my monies?
