PlayStation VR2 |OT| I heard it has a single cable. Is this true?

Man, I shouldn't be surprised but Reddit and PSVR2 are home to some truly stupid people.

The Arken Age early preview posts getting comments like, "what kind of review is this!? I don't know anything about the story. Is it a roguelike, wave shooter? Why aren't the reviews or developers sharing more details?"

Thats one nice list. We really got awesome and diverse games last year. Oh and Phasmophobia was high on the PS5 list, too (Sony should make an extra list including hybrids titles).

I snagged Crimen - Mercenary Tales.

This game was not on my radar until I realized that it's the same developer as Wizards. It's 55% off right now, $13 instead of $28.

Crimen looks goofy as hell and I'm not sure what to expect but I will share impressions.

Yea, the hit detection in Crimen is really bad. I'm gonna try to figure out if I'm doing something wrong but I suspect it's largely the game.

It hasn't prevented progress but man it is so sloppy, lol. Right now it's kind of endearing though, as strange as that sounds, because the game is so damn goofy, everyone looks like a variation of Karnov :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Outside of the hit detection issue, it's been pretty fun and there's not a whole lot to complain about with visuals, it feels like a saturday morning cartoon. I could never recommend this game to anyone because the hit detection is so bad. I am really glad I didn't pay full price.

I'll capture some footage later for lulz.

Uh... how old are you, to remember something like Karnow? Old school gamer?

Can someone explain to me what is the difference between this two bundles?

31,19€ PS5 Moss and Moss 2 Bundle

28,79€ PS5 Moss and Moss: Book II Bundle

One bundle shows looking for the first game and the other looking for the second one

Sorry, man! Can't help, link wont open here. Searched for the two bundles of the game in the Brazilian store and couldn't find it, only found one (which I have).

If you look theres two bundles named different with the two games (one without book in it). In US the price is the same but in the european store they priced them different

That's really bizarre. I have no idea why it's listed twice with different boxart, lol.

It's looks like they are on PS+ Premium though. Definitely worth a month subscription if you're on the fence with buying them blind. They really are fantastic games though, in case you've never played.

Anyone tried Arken yet. Any impressions.
It's great. Really impressive across the board.

I almost regret playing the studios two prior titles on PSVR so recently because I'm a bit burned out on the gameplay loop, lol. Nothing against the game, I just know what I'm in store for, I'll probably put it down and finish some other games first.

The gameplay loop is great, meaty areas to explore with a TON of loot and other things to collect. This studio is really good at making you want to explore the levels thoroughly because there is always something to find and the game is constantly rewarding you. The combat is solid, swordfighting and gun combat. You can use your pick-axes to climb on anything wood. Robust upgrade/crafting system, locked 90 is buttery smooth and the resolution is fantastic. Great OST and voice acting. This game is the real deal, in a perfect world it would turn the heads of flat gamers. This studio is one to watch, all their games have been solid and the level of improvement between each game is incredibly impressive.

Thanks for the great impressions. Will pick up at some point when I've cleared my back catalogue.

Man, I've been super sick for a bit… VR is basically impossible to use (at least for me, but admittedly I'm a bit of a little bitch when sick) I bought a bunch of games during that sale been waiting to try. Can finally breathe again / play again.

This is from the developers of Snow Scout, I haven't played that yet but it looks fun and people speak highly of it.

Reminds me of Coolboarders 2 but with skis. Releases next week, $14.99.

I almost bought it yesterday, then remembered I still have 10 games in my backlog, including Metro and Alien.

The game looks fantastic tho!
Yeah. I'm not buying any more games until I clear my backlog. I bought a ton of games during the sale so have more than enough games to last me months. The good news is when I eventually do pick up these games they will be fully patched and hopefully on sale.

Quick Arken Age clip.

This is a really good game. It's just comfy as hell. Lots of small QOL things that make it so you aren't fighting against the game.

Never ceases to amaze me though how much is lost looking at videos of a VR game on a monitor. It just looks so basic - almost PS2-PS3 generation, something pre-Crysis, but I know in the game itself it's a whole different story!

Got my PSVR2 a week ago... along with RE4R, RE Village, Moss 1 & 2, Mare, Paper Creature, Red Matter 1 & 2, an Horizon CotM... already owned GT7, No Man's Sky...

It's a shame games I owned for PSVR doesn't work... like Skyrim VR, RE7, Astro Bot Rescue Mission or SW Squadrons...

Avoid Phasmaphobia like the plague. Gotta be the worst VR game I've ever played. The technical state is truly an embarrassment.

The game is among my favorite PSVR2 titles easily! I can't recommend the game enough if you have friends to play with, as it is massively fun to play with friends. I'm eager to play a lot more (I'm in a group of 4 friends that play together, but one can't play for a few more days 😭). And while it is technically flawed, I never really had any big issue. Closing and opening doors needs to be improved, however 🤣

I only played Phasmaphobia once with a buddy and we had no clue what we were supposed to be doing but it was fun all the same just exploring then eventually dying. The game is quite deep when you know what you're doing.

The jankiest part to me was trying to get past the user-agreement. Holy shit, the pointer controls in VR are so sensitive, it was near impossible to scroll down so I could accept, lol.

I plan to give my psvr2 some love. I have the next 2 weeks off of work and will be putting my toddler in daycare. Bought behemoth, vertigo 2 and red matter 1+2 not too long ago and haven't touched any of them yet.

I also have the psvr1 hooked up, thinking about playing iron man and blood and truth.

Also need to trade in my OG ps5 since I swapped for the 30th anniversary edition. Debating getting the quest 3 S with Batman . . .

Batman is excellent.

Batman is great but I wouldn't get a 3S. Spend a bit more if you can to get the regular 3. The pancake lenses are so much better...

I know this is daft, but I saw a cheap second-hand Bhaptics Tactsuit x16 for sale so I bought it. The x16 and x40 have been superseded by Tactsuit Pro & Air now so it seems there are people upgrading or just getting rid of the old models right now.

I only have PSVR2 (no PCVR or Quest) so I know I will get very little mileage out of it. I knew going in that hardly any PSVR2 games support these haptic vests, but I was really curious to give one a go.

Legendary Tales, Breachers & Hellsweeper are the only games I have that support it. So far I've only tried it with Legendary Tales.

My impressions: Pretty easy to set up. Installed the app on my phone, paired the vest, started the game, the app recognised the game has begun and we were in business. It does kind of shit me that the vest doesn't directly connect to the PS5, as 10 years from now the app probably won't work with the latest smartphones. Anyway...

In game, I wondered at first if it was even working as nothing was happening. Blocked and parried the first mob I fought. Not a rumble from the vest. Next guy managed to swing and hit me under my shield resulting in a strong rumble in my lower left ribs, right where he got me. Nice. As I fought on, I found the hit feedback to be pretty good. Before using the vest, the rumble in the Sense controller was the same whether you blocked the blow with your shield or took the hit. With the vest, you could immediately feel whether you'd taken damage or not, and where.

When picking up and storing items, there's a light bit of tactile feedback between your shoulders as the items go into your pack.

It's not revolutionary. It's not even close to necessary, but it did add a bit to the immersion.

Gonna give the other games a shot (in the back probably) when I have some time. Will post my impressions here in case anyone's interested.

Has anyone else been silly enough to buy one of these?

Is there a Moss like RPG game like playing a diorama in VR? That would be awesome.

If you go turn-based there's stuff that's pseudo RPG, like Demeo. On Quest you have Triangle Strategy and a couple others, but it's a pretty barren genre for VR.

Have not dived in yet but if anyone brings out one that connects directly to the PS5 and is well supported the I'll jump in.
