Please help me remeber 2 Genesis games.

Ok, so my discriptions may be pretty cryptic but I don't remember them all that well.

1: This game was a beat-em-up where you could be 2 guys that were really strong and while it was a side-scroller you could pick up ALMOST ANYTHING. Enemies, vending machines, you name it. I remember one mini-game in particular where the object was to beat up a vending machine and see how many pop cans would come out before the time ran out.

2. This game took place in a middle age setting, it was isometric perspective and you could talk to the people but they never moved and you could push them off walls and stuff. It had a lot of action and puzzle solving and I don't think there was that much music to it (but what it had was really eerie).

dunno, but the first one sounds like streets of rage.

Landstalker?

2 could also be Light Crusader, which is a Landstalker styled game made by Treasure... though I hear it's mediocre... it's one of the few Treasure games I don't own :P

Man, Two Crude Dudes was a strange game. Actually, did Data East make any "normal" games during the 16-bit era? I can't think of any.

I must play this game in coop sometime. I love right scroller beatemups.

Yeah Two Crude Dudes must be number one. I really liked that game.

As far as light crusader is that where you're a knight and the majority of the game takes place in a big castle? If so that has to be it.

Two Crude Dudes was incredibly fun for me in the arcade (I must have been 10 at most). I am pretty sure it's available on MAME, so check it out.

Number 2 doesn't sound ANYTHING like Landstalker. More like Light Crusader I would agree. It could also have been Immortal, I don't remember enough of it though.

I thought light crusader was a really fucking choice game. It had a strange art style to it. I'll have to see how it holds up to time. Probably not well.

No, it's Light Crusader. If I remember correctly, The Immortal only had you interacting with corpses. :lol
Orcs, Goblins...
a dying man, and a dragon (plus the Princess at the end)
. No corpses.

I remember watching Gamepro TV and J.D Roth was breaking down the specifics on the Immortal for us (in all his 1990 badness). I thought it was the best looking game I ever saw.

Man, most of the stuff on Genesis looked friggin amazing next to the NES in the day. Hard to imagine...

Anyone remember how impressed they were when they first saw forgotten worlds and Strider? Strider, I still keep my pawn-shop-bought Mega-Drive version(one of the most imported games, Next to Mega-Drive Batman, back in the day) with it's awesome art hidden away...somewhere, i hope.

Do these pics help?
