I think Chespin's final evolution will look surprisingly good, while Froakie's might look hideous, judging solely by the other pokéfrogs' designs.
I actually like Hariboogu's design, even though its body shape is a bit similar to Pignite's
Fennekin will be the definitely the best though.
I don't think you can use scans as avatars, even if the background is removed.

Replace Swampert with Torterra and you've pretty much nailed it.
Even though you are wrong about many of these, I can accept most of them. Only one must be purged.

Well I have yet to see a fat ass mid stage starter go "cool".
Hopefully it's final is a bad ass bulky like the Fire/ Water starters in the 2nd gen.

Watch Chespin's final evo be that new tree Pokemon.
Archeops was completely hamstrung by it's ability, nullifying it's awesomeness. Gamefreak ruined a great Poke. These new fossils are solid though.

Yea the water 3rd evolutions generally aren't bad aestheticalle(I'd say swampert is worst looking but best). The only reason why Empoleon pissed me off is because he got 1 hit koed by my friends flare blitz monkey. The monkey and toterra aren't bad also, I would replace Sceptile with Meganium tbh

So happy for mega garchomp. I just got my shiny gible from the black tower so i'm pretty excited to get it to evolve and trade it into X and Y for its mega evolution. Just need to do the white tree tower thing to get that shiny dratini.
Aren't Mega Evolutions only possible after receiving special Pokemon?
Like isn't the Torchic you get through the distribution the only way to get Mega Blaziken?
I'm not sure about this at all, so I need clarification myself.

Sceptile is the best grass starter hands down to date. It was really hard to choose starters in 3rd gen.
You need an item unique to each pokemon, and the item for torchic is only held by the one being distributed, but any Blaziken could hold that item and mega-evolve.

Fennekin's not bad, but if its gonna resemble the more common interpretation of a witch, I hope there is a male variant that makes it more wizard-like.
Froakie's is cool, reminds me of a rainforest frog.
Chespin, I dunno. His nose bothers me, but I don't see anything wrong with his roundness. He's a Hedgehog after all, right? A slender skinny hog wouldn't look right.
