The new movie trailer just aired. The footage so far seems to be a retelling of the first episode, although one big difference is that Ho-oh flies directly over Ash and drops a Rainbow Wing. No official upload yet.
I believe they're from this guide:Sorry for the dp, but I found some Alola Pokemon concept art on reddit. Does anyone know where it's from?

The animation in the latest sun and moon episode was insanely good like holy shit
2 days with the switch and I'm already craving Pokemon on it like crazy.
Yup. I'm a believer now. Please let that stars rumor be true.
they've been doing those animation gags before SM
it's the comments that trigger me mostly showing the facesI said animation. not reaction faces. The animation was the some of the best i've seen in the series in that one episode
The faces were still top tier tho
There are the rumors that Stars has new Pokémon. So uh, there's only one other unobtainable event Pokemon this time right? Besides hat Pikachu? Are we gonna be moving on from Gen 7 quicker than usual?
I would not be into a Pokemon game like that at all
I think it would be really difficult to implement level scaling if the game was as open and non linear as botw.
Why not? Be thrown right into the middle of a huge world with the ability to do whatever you want would be awesome. Take on any gyms in any order, run around the world and make a team of whatever pokemon you want instead of having to make do with what is available early on. GF needs to shake up the series like Nintendo just did with Zelda, and start trying some big new things.
That sounds awful.
Surprised one of the cute Pokemon already evolved in S/M...
Mallow's Bounsweet
Speaking of, evolutions in the anime look pretty cool now. You see the pokemon actually transform and they aren't completely colored over. Looked like a magical girl transformation.
Well they've been evolving pokemon like that for a while now, just with the color over. Even as far as BW iirc.
She isn't there yet but if you don't mind spoilers sheSo I've pretty much decided that I'm gonna give the Sun and Moon anime another go, just one question, does Lillie become more like her game self? In what I watched it bothered me that she was basically a completely different character.
They literally haven't. Did you see the evolution? Hasn't been done like this before now.
Like it's genuinely completely different from before.

that's literally how Frogadier evolved into Greninja except longer and without the color filter
it's why people joked at how "painful" Greninja evolution is, because "his tongue was forced out of his mouth oh my god"
???It's really not the same at all.
???
like I said, the only difference is the time (Bounsweet took her sweet ass time evolving) and the lack of light filtering.
I watched X and Y. I don't see them as that similar. The length is a huge factor, she jumped into the air, the background changed, the no filter etc. To say that "that's literally how Frogadier evolved into Greninja" is a stretch.
Nah Sun and Moon has the best formula right now. Everything doesn't need to be open world. I like linear and focused games. BOTW does cool things but it would be better if it wasn't open world for me.
Sun and Moon formula is terrible, no room of exploration, no complex dungeons, little reason to backtrack and very little challenge as every trainer in Alola for some reason only carry 2 Pokémon even late in the game.
Also they did a open world Pokémon game before with Gen 5 as it was technically possible to explore areas that you weren't suppose to if you traded over a Pokémon that knew HM moves.
For exampe in Black and White you get HM 03 surf after defeating the 6th Gym leader but if trade over a Pokémon that new Surf you can explore areas like Mistralton Cave before you can fight the 5th Gym leader, thus allowing you nab an Axew earlier.
It's also comes with its own risk as you potentially run into high level Pokémon and trainers that your team aren't ready to fight.
Honestly speaking Game Freak need to look at what Nintendo with Breath of the Wild and just let go of the hand holding as they have gotten worse with gen 7 getting bad at point like Poni Island as it never felt like I was in control of where I wanted to go, it was the game dragging me to location to location while stopping me to show off a cut scene.
This is something that they need to fix for "Pokémon Stars" and in future games.

You mean, like they already did in Platinum, blocking off the alternative routes you could take in D/P through Sinnoh with stupid NPCs?
