Ah a shame. Weird that a hacked Pokemon can be Wonder Traded!
I don't think Pokemon with event ribbons can be wondertraded no?
If you want a real legit event Magikarp, I have tons, but none are shiny.

Bringing back exp scaling from Gen V would probably go a long way.
Not that it'd matter much, it's still gonna be a Pokemon game, it's still gonna be super easy unless you go out of your way to make it challenging.

EXP Scaling was great in the main story, but afterwards when you got Pokémon over Level 50, it started getting ridiculously grindy.
Lots of people remove event ribbons with hacks to wonder trade. I got so pissed because so many people were saying "Yay I got a Shiny Arceus on Wonder Trade" when that event started, but all of them were hacked
I am one of the few people on the Internet with a real legit shiny Movie Arceus.
Take that phoneys!
Seriously tho, I don't see how hacks do any favours for anyone.
Yep, Game Freak took it out in favour for the Exp share.
Didn't Sugimori say that they would never cut Pokemon because some people would be upset if they're favourite was cut. They weren't opposed to cutting some redundant moves/abilities though.
Just got finished watching an episode of Aaah! Real Monsters. There should be Pokemon based off of Krum, Ickis, and Oblena. Also a Sphinx pokemon too.
Random question. In X/Y there are 3 buttons at the top of the storage boxes, red, blue and green. What do these do?

Does anyone know what game this is from?
so it's a moving plush? didn't know pull-strings could do that

They usually just shake more than they move, but yeah.
Oh yeah, one of the lyrics in XY&Z, the one in parenthesis that usually mentions a move or ability, is One Million Volts.
For references, Hundred Thousand Volts exist and it is called Thunderbolt in English. I wonder if we'll get a new move.

If 100,000 Volts is Thunderbolt then 1,000,000 Volts sounds like it could just be Thunder.
You can check the place it was caught at, but it generell its hard to tell.Hi, I have a question here. I got a shiny Giratina and Mesprit from Wonder Trade, both at level 100. How can I tell if they're legit or not?

Anyway always assume WT shinys are cheated or hacked, best case would be a clone.
Probably legit caught and then shinified/cloned with Powersaves. The Giratina was found "soaring in the sky" while the Mesprit was found in the Nameless Cavern.
What do you think?
Probably legit caught and then shinified/cloned with Powersaves.
Since I also got a hacked shiny from WT I have to ask a silly question... What's the downside of a hacked Pokemon? Do I risk bans or something?
I have no idea tbh haha.

I have a DS (phat, original model) and a 3DS also original model. Is it feasible to get pokemon from the old GBA games all the way to my copy of Pokemon X using the various pal parks, trading and w/e other transfer methods? Seems like such a convoluted process, but I would love to clear all my old pokemon games so I can go back and replay them and I don't want to lose all the pokemon I've caught over the years. Not to mention I would love to get guys like my shiny charizard off Soul Silver and my shiny magneton off Heart Gold.
I am very late to the 3DS and Pokemon Y party... I really want a Bulbasaur and a Squirtle. Are those hard to get via trade? I don't know anyone who plays Pokemon, so I can't reach out to my friends, as they're home console only.
Also, is there any way to get the mega stones from X (I've bought Y), be it via trading or whatever?
The 3DS will arrive by the end of the week only.
Oh it can be done. It's just a HUGE pain in the ass.
3 -> 4: Pal Park (6 Pokémon at a time and can only transfer so many times within a 24 hour period and also have to literally catch your Pokémon again in the gen 4 game)
4 -> 5 Poke Transfer (6 Pokémon at a time plus an awful minigame)
5 -> 6: Poke Transporter (1 box at a time)
Bank is a godsend going forward.
Yeah this is just about what I was expecting. I don't think it would be a major loss to say goodbye to my gen 3 pokes. I'm mostly concerned about gen 4 since that's when my interest in trading peaked and where all my shinies are. Does the poke transfer require 2 DS's or could I transfer from my DS to 3DS?

we're getting a pokemon xd sequel!
Yep, you can use 3DS backward compatibility to transfer from Gen 4 to 5!
I would recommend booting Gen 5 game on the 3DS and using the original DS for the Gen 4 game (you'll have to use the download play business).
Then, for Poke Transporter, you just have to open the app on your 3DS while the Gen 5 game is in the system. Just make sure anything you want to send from 5 to 6 is in Box 1 in BW/BW2.
Víctory Road + Sweet Scent = Floatzel Horde = 8k exp (carrying Lucky Egg and without exp share and o-power, with that 3 things... Easily 11k per battle)...
Alright good stuff, thanks. Last question, is regular ass trading between DS titles just impossible now that WiFi Connection was shut down? I don't remember if there was a local or IR option for 1:1 trading.
Do pokemon in Pokemon Bank count towards your pokedex in X/Y/ORAS? Or do you have to transfer them back and forth to get credit? I think the time might be right to start working on completing a living dex again.
You'll have to move them into the game to get credit I'm pretty sure. I don't know if just moving them in and saving through bank is enough or if you have to load the game once, though. I'd recommend the latter since it's not much more time lol.
