My local scanner didn't stay down long, stopped showing IV info though.
It's been down for today though since the event ended, so not sure if Niantic changed something again. Will see if it comes back up.
Niantic started shadowbanning accounts somewhere around Monday. They stopped showing rare Pokémon to shadowbanned accounts, so scanners can only show commons.

Yeah I know, mine came back without IVs within a few hours (I assume they just started making fresh accounts constantly).
It's just today it's disappeared completely.
Great event! Didn't get as much walking in as I'd have liked, but I caught 4 Larvitars total. Wish there was more, but I have almost a full wall of 10KM so hopefully I'll hatch some more.
The last day I got an Aerodactyl too, the only one I saw the entire event. My best Rhydon now sits comfortably among my top 12 and ready for Rhyperior!

Also, if anyone here is using any service that logs into your POGO account, delete & remove permission now! Esp those IV checker apps. Those are against the TOS, and you will get shadowbanned, or just plain banned.

I mostly used the Rocket Map types one that give an overview of an entire city so it was more to see where fun stuff appears. Easy to use for checking nests.
Pokémon GO isn't there for me. Weird.
The one I use is IV & Toolkit for Pokemon Go, which does not require credentials, it's just a floating overlay that you line up with your exp bar. That, and ones where you upload screenshots, should be safe, right?
Yeah. As long as it uses a picture or you enter things manually, things should be good.

Ended the event with Blissey and Pupitar added to my dex, so all is well. I currently have 34 Larvitar candies. Gonna have to hope for lucky spawns at my nearby Mount Moon biome or 10K eggs, cause walking 630km is asking a lot. I might even switch back to Blissey to power her up a bit. Who knows?

That was all speculation to begin with, my money's still on the gym rework happening this summer.
Hanke confirmed in March that there would be three more major updates dropping in each remaining quarter of 2017. Legendaries are already pretty much confirmed for this summer, after that tease by the marketing director. And they definitely aren't going to drop Gen III now, so it has to be the gym rework this quarter.
Although Firemind is correct, the second quarter does still include the whole month of June, so they have another month. I just figured they would want to get it out approx. 3 months after the last big update, Gen II, which dropped in mid-Feb.
What scanner do you use to check for nests? Not a lot of people around here continue to map out all the city's nest on Silph Road, so many of them go unconfirmed.

I always wanted to try out one of those full city wide scanners for where I live. Just checked out rocket maps and there's all this setup process AND you need your PTC/Google account, which makes me think there's a risk of your account getting shadowbanned if you do it. Meh, I guess that's why I never did it before.
You just create throwaway PTC accounts to keep your main account from getting banned. It is a lot of work though.
Yay, caught a Miltank which alleviates the pain of the first one I met running away less than a week ago. I swear Miltank started spawning more often this week for whatever reason.
Tomorrow I'm finishing up Feraligatr which will leave me with only 4 mons missing - Tyrogue, Hitmontop, Unown and Porygon2. If Hitmontop remains the last one I'll be missing then I'm really glad there are no more Hitmons in the future, the family is cursed for me.
I wonder what the next event will be and if they plan on releasing them as often as they did recently. Unless that was to keep playerbase engaged while they're ironing out the gym rework.

I had been specifically finishing up Steelix and Kabutops because rock rarely spawns here, so that was a bit of a waste. But I did manage to get tons of Slugma, my first Aerodactyl and Shuckle, and do enough walking to finish Machamp.
Speaking of, what's the point of Shuckle? It can't be evolved, and it has horrible CP values. I don't think it will go over 300. I mean, even Magikarp can be hoarded to make something good later on.

I've had 4 Machamps with the worst moveset believe it or not, and 3 Alakazaams
It sounds similar to sukkel which is Dutch for sucker so it's good gym fodder to piss people off lol

naw, i have level 30 or so shuckle though not perfect IV...so it's not THAT much of an investment. as of right now I don't care too much about stardust since it's taking me forever to level and the things I power up are so rare for candy anyway. I have maxed out slow Bros and poliwrath because I like them...it's not about cp for me. with the gym rework it might matter though, those people with 10 maxed out dragonites with a million stardust invested in them are gonna have no where to put them if the rumors about having only one or two of the same kind of pokemon in a gym are true.

Wait, it's possible to get perfect IV Pokémon? I just checked the 105 Pokémon I have and I only have one with 2 IV'S.
This game is fun when I'm in the city with portals to spin but freaking sucks when I'm home. I caught a Houndour earlier today and was stoke. Seems like people are playing this less in the part of Louisiana I live in. I was able to leave my 1394 CP Executor (my highest CP Pokémon. lol) at a gym about 8 hours ago and he's still there. Back when having a 1394 CP Pokémon was the shit he wouldn't last 20 minutes at a gym.

There was someone else here I think that caught a perfect Blissey. I caught a perfect Chancey back during that increased fairy types event before Blissey was in the game.
You will likely get shadow banned. Which means any rare pokemon, won't show up. So, delete that app. Check manually instead. Make sure it's not still connected if you use google (delete the permission)
It wasn't an app. it was a website i visited. Either way deleted my account. I'll just use the calculator site. Also, Pokehunter.co becuase holy shit didn't know tracking sites were a thing again.
Yeah, I use that tracker too. They really improved it in last few weeks. Wish it actually gave the timer for Pokémon though.

I also just checked some of the Pokemon I caught during the event.
Got a Larvitar that is lvl 30 and has either 82% or 87% and I hatched one that has 91% IVs. Nice, nice
