Yup. This. Only way to get them before November 3rd was the Club Nintendo thing, and only select Club Nintendo members got one (I didn't).

After November 3rd demo codes will be available at "retailers" (ie EB Games),

I'm actually at a complete loss as to what NoAus was trying to achieve with this (why only select Club Nintendo members?) but that applies to approximately 95% of everything they do.

Is it just me or is this thread unusually quiet for a GAF Pokémon Thread, especially a demo? D: I'm off to my 3rd adventure now and the only problems I personally have so far is the abysmal frameratre during battles in 3D mode (which doesn't affect me myself much since I rarely play any game in 3D) and the lack of Character Customization which hopefully comes back in Z or whatever comes after :/
 
I have an 8yo son who's into Pokemon, but at 37yrs old, I've never played one. It totally passed me by and I'll admit, I never really saw the appeal. Then I was asked to do a playthrough for a youtube channel I contribute to, had a blast playing the demo and now itching to buy a New 3DS when they arrive in Europe.

Anyone know if you can delete and re-download the demo? I was trying to delete the save so my son could play fresh, but couldn't find a way, so I deleted the demo from our 2DS, now I can't see how to redownload?

because the demo is not for all region in the same time
and some people just watched it youtube
 
Got my code from Amazon, played it 4 times, is
Glalie the only Pokemon you can get from the game?

Also, I've noticed the music seems a bit calmer and the trumpets toned down a bit. Mosdeep looks weird in 3D.

Boot up the eShop, go all the way to the left Settings/Other and it should be listed under redownloadable software.
 
Just finished the (first part, anyway) of the demo, and in that little montage, I'm pretty sure I saw the two protagonists...wearing different clothes? I'm confused. Is customisation in or not? Or is that for something else?

No character customisation, unfortunately. Those alternate outfits are only available for Pokemon contests.

They dress up for contents now. There is a nice little attention to detail too that happens (what this is)
when they get the mega eovolution key items the portraits are updated to include these

Apparently there are sprite based portraits of them in the costumes. I wonder if that is why customization was dropped as having to include all hairs and skin colours would mean a lot more (I still would have appreciated skin tone as that would not change much on these).

I remember reading that a while ago and a friend of mine said the same thing today.

All good for instant gratification I guess, but $24 for a code is ludacris in my personal opinion. I spent far less getting the actual magazine from Nippon Yasan today. Should be here next week
 
I was actually (mildly) shocked at how bad this game looks once I was able to run around.
At least they fixed the movement I guess.
Fantasy Life has really got it's hooks into me and this just seemed so dull, restrictive and ugly in comparison.

Oh okay, that's what I thought it might have been. But still, like...they actually have the ability to swap their outfits in game and they still cut customisation?

And I get the sprite portrait thing, but in the end that still just comes down to whether they want to bother putting in that effort or not. And it still doesn't excuse the lack of different skin tones.

Anyway I'll stop before I go off on a rant again. Thanks for answering the question you two. :)

Thank you! Someone that gets it! I still intend to purchase the games but even if clothes themselves had to be scrapped, why cut skin and hair color?

Yeah, I'm pretty livid about it. The fact that they actually would have to go ahead and remove it, too. I don't wanna rant again so I'll stop now, but just...ugh.
 
The demo is really great. I'm having a ton of fun with it, the game does in fact seem more vibrant than XY. Weird.
 
Just tried the demo (thanks to flowsnake's giveaway) and.. I have mixed feelings on it. I didn't play X/Y and seeing the 3D in person for the first time, I think they lost a lot of the charm in the visuals. The musical arrangements didn't impress me, either. They lacked a punch, I felt. Lastly, the 3D bugged out on me. I had the 3DS in sleep mode over night and when I returned to the demo, it didn't display 3D for a while. Triggering the mega-evolution fixed that.

Speaking of mega-evolutions, that is one thing I'm intrigued by. I was skeptical if I would like this feature but it seems like a neat addition. I'll have to find out more about it.

So yeah, it's a remake of the last Pokemon game I really loved so I'll have to get it but I'm.. a bit disappointed by the demo. I hope this won't turn out to be another HeartGold situation where the remake leaves me a bit cold.
