Pokémon Snap Releases 4/30 for Nintendo Switch

Pokemon has moved beyond this game being necessary. You can already catch and see pokemon in "modern" graphics that doesn't require a separate photo game. What made the original special was seeing pokemon in 3d for the first time. This just feels like too much pokemon saturation.

I feel like they're just ctrl+c the old title for an easy way to farm money.

The visuals are improved at least.

Good atmosphere. Noticeably bad textures for some reason, though to be fair I only saw that in the close-up shots. You probably won't cate while playing.

Uniquely-animated Pokémon and even Pokémon interacting with each other are the key here, and it seems they have that.

I want to play this but man I can't pay $60 for a on rails photography game.

If people want to play a GOTY tier photography game check out Umurangi Generation. Fun mechanics, amazing music (Thorhighheels who is also one of my favorite youtubers) and so much atmosphere. This trailer doesn't do it justice.

The real question is how much content is there? If it's something I can finish in 5 hours I'm not interested at all.

It would be cool if there was an "open world" area that would let you take things off rails but I doubt we see anything like that

I hope it's good but I don't have high expectations.
Expecting it to be short with little replay value. Maybe 10 hours at most.

Glad to see that they saved the best for last with the phenomenal Meganium, the final form of the best starter Pokemon ever
in my heart.
