Am I the only one who prefers the art of the standard GXs to the full arts?

Yeah, the Full Art and Rainbow are super boring.

I would say that some of them do look better (Decidueye GX looks better than the upcoming FA version) but others I would disagree (FA Umbreon GX is better than 3D Model normal Umbreon GX).

Yep. But you can get the from Phtanom Forces and Roaring Skies. They are also available from Battle decks such as Rayquaza and Keldeo which give you 2 and a lot of the staples. Highly recommend grabbing this.

I wish the trading system was a little more refined. I find it really difficult to search/get hold of cards that aren't super popular, like Muscle Band or a Team Flare Grunt.

I can't find out what they're worth either so can't set up a trade!

Thanks! I talked to one of the TOs and he said they should be streaming. Now I need to decide what to play. Debating between Lycanroc and Turbo Dark. Really tempted to go rogue and play Lycanroc. I'm not good enough to make top cut with a safe pick like yveltal or darkrai but I could get lucky with good matchups with Lycanroc.

I don't know how hard it was to get before, but trying to find a trade for the beedrill ex from that Decidueye vileplume deck at Sheffield today was pretty brutal.

edit: Was able to make a trade offer for 4 S+M packs and got my Beedrill-EX! Now its time to try and pick up a fourth Decidueye GX.

Recently got into this, think I've spent a small fortune on cards and slowly doing alrite online.

Tempted to start taking part in some local friendlys but have a few questions that a google search isn't answering.

Can I mix cards from different regions? Would love to import some Japanese cards due to the funky text. But I'm guessing that wouldn't be allowed in games due to the language barrier being confusing.

Is it possible to pick up a 'mat' to play it on, similar to whats in the online game?

Best card I have is a golden EX Dragonite so far, so addicted to shiny cards ;( help me!

Depends on the local/tournament. Some will allow it, some won't.

Yes, there's custom playmats out there. Look around. You can even buy something for a different card-game and use that.

RE: language, you can only use your local language cards if it's an official sanctioned tournament, if it's unsanctioned it's up to the people operating it, but personally I'd be against it. Just makes it too annoying having to deal with translations, especially if you're using anything outside the common meta cards.

Wow that Darkrai GX card is way too good! Somebody at TCPi must REALLY love Darkrai because they keep making these very good Darkrai Cards.

I'm definitely adding Darkrai GX to my Umbreon GX Deck.

Just started collecting these cards again. I don't really know how to store them well, so I just bought a binder and put them in the plastic card holder pages things you can buy.
I hope this is a good way of collecting them. I might even make a deck with what i got.

i just started again for the first time since like 99, mostly because i really liked the look of rainbow lurantis gx, and i managed to snag it and the normal full art within my first few packs! i got some other okay stuff from the box too but that has me the most psyched.

i went overboard on pack opening on the online game (i dont really plan on playing in paper) but im going to trade into this deck thats apparently some kinda meta cancer thats lurantis gx/vileplume item lock, i really just wanna use lurantis! i traded like 9 packs for two of them and im gonna build up some more while i look for the other pieces for the deck, just gonna play theme decks till then. its pretty fun! though it did make me retroactively go buy xy ancient origins and roaring skies boxes lol...but hey i like cracking packs and its a good a time as any to start a collection again i guess. long as i only buy one box each

Lurantis GX/Vileplume isn't that good. I think you might have gotten it confused with Decidueye GX/Vileplume.

Nobody has found a great use for Lurantis yet, but partnering it with Solgaleo seems to work best at the moment. http://some1spc.com/lion-doesnt-sleep-tonight-solgaleo-gxlurantis-gx-standard-format/

Forest and Vileplume are both rotating from standard in September, but will still be playable in expanded.

i guess vileplume was the meta part then! i can see how decidueye would be actually really good. i am okay with lurantis/the deck not being that great, i just kinda wanna play around lurantis as my pet card. i will look into better applications of it in the future. thanks for the link!

Both of those cards are getting rotated out in 6 months.

I was interested in making a Deciplume Deck but in 6 months it's going to get rotated out and the Deck is dead in the water without those two cards so I decided to invest in another Deck that will stick around in the standard far more than 6 months.

Those two cards are part of the SM2 set which is our August Set so by the time we get these cards in the US Deciplume Decks will only enjoy the benefit of these cards in the World Championships because less than two weeks later Vileplume and Forest of Giant Plants get rotated out of the Standard.
