MSNBC at least did not mention a leader which suggests there's literally not enough information yet.
The influx of people in to NoVA from out of state has definitely tipped that balance. Central VA was always purple, Chesapeake and around Norfolk is generally red, the whole Blue Ridge is red, but no one live there. Nova is the tipping point, and it has consistently gotten more blue. So many folks live in that area.
As someone who grew up in a very Red Virginia to parents who expressed more progressive beliefs but never forced an ideology, it was tough growing up.

If you thought they were ever gonna call NC at the close of polls, you were deluded. I think the picture of NC we all had was that it was going to be a close win, not a blowout, which is what you'd need to get called instantly.

Best part of all these smaller R-leaning states closing early and getting the vote counted quickly is that the early lead always gives conservatives a bit of sick hope before it all comes crashing down around them.
