I have a feeling the polls are going to tighten very soon... (this SNL thing is going to be good for Palin, and slowly people are going to start to pity her and McCain... just like what happened in New Hampshire with Obama/Clinton).

Though I still think Obama has this election locked up unless something major happens that swings it around.

I think the October 29 thing will refocus people for at least enough time to vote for him. He also has a decent amount of banked votes with early voting, so that will help.

This is not a pity election. People are all about their pocketbooks right now and Palin could become a full time cast member on SNL and not change that.

YOU CAN STAND UP LIVE TELE. It's like standing up a date.
Dennis Miller on James Stockdale...
The reason he had to turn his hearing aid on at that debate is because those fucking animals knocked his eardrums out when he wouldn't spill his guts. He teaches philosophy at Stanford University, he's a brilliant, sensitive, courageous man. And yet he committed the one unpardonable sin in our culture: he was bad on television. Somewhere out there Paddy Chayefsky must be laughing his ass off.

Wow, that was pretty tasteless. McCain comparing Dave to his captors?

Ah I think that's a little bit of a stretch. I'd sooner lose a toe than see him become president but he's a pretty funny guy when he has the chance and that was just a joke. And I laughed.

"You should hear what the yell at Obama rallies!"

... like what?

how did McCain do on Letterman?
Going on now.

WHY DIDN'T HE AGREE TO MY TOWNHALL MEETINGS GOD DAMNIT!

The audience seemed as uncomfortable with it as I was. It was like when Brian made that FDR joke on Family Guy.

Oh shit Todd races 2K miles across Alaska in the ded of winter and is 1/2 native Alaskan. I swear if McCain tells me that he, too, can field dress a moose I'm changing sides!

Honestly, I'll be a wreck if somehow McCain wins the election. But you guys should turn down the constant moral outrage, it's annoying.

Tasteless? To whom? It was a funny joke, if McCain, himself, thought it was funny then who cares?

Considering how tense their relationship has been it was a strange thing to say. And Dave really is grilling the shit out of him. I don't get the sense that they're on good terms right now.

So....inspiration is what we need? McCain endorses Obama!

:lol :lol "This is someone who is inspirational, this is someone who did so many unusual things!"

Too bad he didn't think to say that on air.

In regards to the Joe Plumber fraud, I agree it's a dicey subject. When in doubt go with the tactic that Republicans use so well...bring it up by saying you're not going to:

"We're not going to talk about these internet rumors that Joe's not a real plumber, Joe's a fraud...we're going to talk about the real Joe's out there and how we're going to help them. 98% 98% 98%, etc etc"

How dare you tell us what to do, sir! This is an outra... yeah, I'll stop. :/

If I was in the audience after that question I would have stood up and said "GET RAPED, McCain."

Then I would have thrown my x-box controller.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting Dave to come at him this hard. They are not going to be cool after this. And no way does Palin come with ten mles of the Late Show.
