Would you still love me if I was black as night?
If my hair was nappy like Jesse
and orange bright?
Would you still love me if my teeth were out of sight?
Even if you had no freedom or right?
Would you still love me with all your might?

Would you still love me if instead of black I was white?
If I didn't look up to see the bright?
If every time we looked at each other we were in a fight?
Would you still love me or tell me to take a hike?
Or would you love me right?

Would you still love me if I was a racist?
If I didn't like any color except my the bestest?
Would you still love me or time be a waste to us?
Would you still love me and think I was the funniest?
Or look at an Arab and think I was the dummiest?

Would you still love me if I was a civil right leader?
Turned Harvard Law Review President?
No better yet a sexy basketball swinger?
Turned ACORN lawyer?
Would you love me or not want to go any further?

Well, the answer to these questions for you
Is YES I would love you
I would love you after Palin had done you too
Even if no one knew
I would STILL love you and ONLY you

I would love you even if there was no one else to love
Because I believe that you were put here for me from the man above
So as his wishes are granted it's you I will love
And if these feeling were ever n the move
The moment I see you again you will have that pull

So, YES I will love you more and more
More than the days could compose
I love you to the core
Here's my heart watch it roar!!!!!!
I LOVE YOU...........it's you I'm voting for.

You know... I'm not a particularly political person... in fact normally I try to keep away from political issues, as I never feel educated enough or like the issues matter to me. Also, Canadian politics are boring.

Last few days I've been really keeping up with the US electoral stuff, it's crazy... it's like an awesome drama unfolding. But I've also compiled links to some scary... scary places.

This particular thread on a very religious message board makes me sad inside and all over.

And it's not just that thread, it's the entire forum, it's other websites, it's Youtube videos. I am genuinely concerned for the state of your country - I don't particularly fear for your soon-to-be presidents life or anything, I just worry about a greater divide occurring because of his election. You'll see more people being very fort-right about their racism, you'll see people trying to rationalize something they know is irrational, and you'll see the people condemning them. Seriously, I don't know what you guys are gonna do about it.

Aw well, Canada isn't too bad when it comes to that kind of crap.

HOLY SHIT.. ITS TWO NETWORKS!

Obama campaign officials said the campaign had secured a 30-minute block of time at 8 p.m. on CBS and NBC. CBS already was juggling its lineup to accommodate the Democratic presidential candidate, moving back an episode of "The New Adventures of Old Christine."

October 29th, a Wed.

The only problem is I think local affiliates are allowed to preempt it if they want with something else, so stations owned by conservatives may not pick it up. I'm not sure, maybe affiliates are forced to pick up prime time programming?

ABC is considering it, but also wondering if a counter-programming thing might be better for them
Fox is too, but the World Series could also be played that night

The only way things get better is via progress. A generation of youth growing up with a black president (if he wins) can only help that.

So it's possible Obama would be on all 4 networks?

If the world series doesnt make it to whatever game that is I'm sure Fox would jump all over it, they need filler...

I could also see one of them wanting to throw some alternative programming up to grab a big chunk of the audience..

but if Obama can get on all 4 networks that guaranteed 40 million ratings right before the election, plus complete control of the story for 2-3 days? 6 days before the vote?

Epic.

Some gold:

Try listening to left democrats on any talk show. They just run their mouth continually, not allowing anyone else to talk. They get loud....they get obnoxious, etc. This party has turned into the "party of hate". It is no longer the decent democratic party of the 60's. The radical left has taken it over. They do not wish to reach across the aisle (Obama never has); they do not wish to compromise on anything.

They want it all their way. That is no way to run a political party, and surely no way to get anything done in our Congress.

and

You know something? Obama saying that just because 98% of his friends are terrorists doesn't make him one reminds me of those shirts I see gay men wearing that say I'm not gay, my boyfriend is.

It's like Bizarro-GAF.

and it will have the phillies in it. Obama can NOT pre-empt my phillies in the world series.

RE: Ohio verification

I dont understand why people are worried. He has a decent lead in likely voters, which all of this would not affect... sure if Ohio tightens up or goes to McCain by 1 or 2% then it may have an affect, but Obama doesnt need Ohio anyway.

Only 98%?

I heard 99% of his friends were terrorists. He has a few friends that aren't terrorists, but they secretly hate him.

Is there some secret Bizzaro-Fox that only Conservatives can see?

Yeah, same here. California here, but I see tons Obama ads on Dishnetwork. Must have been a national purchase.
One of the benefits of living in a rock-solid state... far fewer ads. I can only imagine what it's like to live in a battleground state.

I'm sorry but who would register their nickname instead of their legal name?

It's like Richard writing down Dick.
I have two middle names. Some forms only allow one to be used, some require the full name. They don't always match. If Oregon adopted those kinds of rules, I could lose my vote if they compared two sources that didn't match.

In North Carolina, almost every commercial break has at least one political ad. I've got the McCain/RNC "Obama is risky!" ad, the Obama "McCain will tax your healthcare", Dole ads, Hagan ads, NRA ads, "Pat McCrory is a copy of Bush" ads, and Bev Purdue ads. Hell, during Letterman last night, I had a commercial break that was ALL political ads.:lol

If Colbert had to choose an avatar that doesn't have Colbert in it, that would be his avatar. Sweet.

And as far as the infomercial goes.. even if McCain managed to bring this race back to the margin of error, Obama will get a bump from this primetime infomercial. This thing is going to be focus-group tested, scripted, and edited for maximum impact. If anything big happens between now and October 29th, Obama essentially gives himself The Last Word, since there are no other major avenues through which the candidates can address a mass amount of voters.

Rush Limbaugh Says Angry Blacks Are In 30 Year Plot To Train Black Children as Militants:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rINTuGofGT0

Taken from crooksandliars:

"Limbaugh: We know that technological advancement is going along at light speed. And yet during this period of time, whether it be the last 57 years or be it the last 20 years, it seems that a majority of the black population has remained angry, frustrated, and behind. They've been left behind. They are acting like they've been left behind, and of course we've heard that this is because of racism, natural systemic institutional racism in America, that we are unfair, that this country is just horrible and rotten.

...The federal government became the father. The father didn't have to hang around in order for the kids to be okay, depending on how you define okay. But as you study more and more of this ACORN stuff, you find that it has been part of an entire movement that has been going on for two, maybe three decades, right under our noses.

We thought that it was just liberal welfare policies and all that that kept blacks from progressing while other minorities grew and prospered, but no, it is these wackos from Bill Ayers to Jeremiah Wright to other anti-American Afrocentric black liberation theologists with ACORN, and Barack Obama is smack dab in the middle of it, they have been training young black kids to hate, hate, hate this country, and they trained their parents before that to hate, hate, hate this country. It was a movement. It was a Bill Ayers, anti-capitalist, anti-American educational movement. ACORN is how it was implemented, right under our noses.
It has been a movement, it has been a religion, and Obama and Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers were all up to their big ears in it. "

Why the fuck are these people continously allowed to change the voting requirements just days or weeks before an election?

This is fucking ridiculous.

What the FUCK?

That's off the wall and moronic even for Rush.
