i love indies but tactical breach wizards felt like a lesser into the breach. balatro deserves its flowers though for distilling the deckbuilder genre into an understandable game for the core casual gamers

Side note, this website looked a lot better 10 years ago.
I remember when it was first starting out I would visit it daily for news because it was a good looking website. Then Arthur Gies, the $750,000 bribe, and their ridiculous reviewing system made me nope out of there fast.

Damn, didn't know Tales of Kenzera: Zau was directed by 'Raised by Wolves' Father. And he's also Valyrian. 😄

Someone here said Balatro is basically just maths, which thankfully put me right off buying it out of curiosity, because I also hate Sudoku.
I've played a considerable amount of Balatro, it's an ok card game. But placing it as the best game of the year is exceeding the bounds of reason.

Stellar Blade is mid guys get over it.

Boring ass exploration decent combat average story.

The ass isn't boring, it's frankly stunning and so is the rest of Eve. Absolute beauty in the truest sense.

The game is amazing too.

Balatro, Golden Idol, UFO50 AND Tactical Breach Wizards?

I don't agree with the entire list but kudos for their impeccable taste in indies.

It truly was visually stunning and had an interesting design theme. I also remember the corny video building up to the release of the site: “NoBODy’s eVEr doNe this BEFOre.”
