They recently did a crossover with the street fighter characters, so I don't know why they'd be averse to doing a crossover.

And aren't the MH games developed and published by Capcom internally?

It's one thing to have stuff from other IPs appear in MonHun, that happens all the time. But how often does MonHun stuff appear in anything else? All I can think of is Smash Bros with some Mii Fighter costume DLC. That's entirely different from a playable character.

I'm pretty sure the MonHun guys wouldn't want a Hunter to be playable because that would create a "default" Hunter, like how Smash gave us default Robin and Corrin. I get the sense they'd rather have the idea of the Hunter being as open as possible.

They can put in the monster hunter kid

I could see them adding a monster Hunter character (alt costumes male and female) that lets you swap weapons or even monster armor through supers for different properties (kinda like Arthur, but instead of different specials for normals, maybe one or two specific specials per weapon and combos needing you to stance dance during them).

Also a special or super that sharpens your weapon for a damage boost or chip on normals like Sentinel for a short time.

I dunno, they use the Azure Rathalos armor in promotional material a lot.

When it comes to Thor, I feel like his Supers could've been better. His Mighty Tornado and Mighty Punish was good, but the Mighty Thunder was awful. If you do it against a standing Vergil from a certain range, it goes right through him. It was a shitty Magnetic Shockwave. The lack of a hammer throw was pretty whack along with his normals.

His movement, command grab, and other stuff was pretty cool. I like the idea of a bruiser with great movement that can combo off of his command grabs. I just feel like he could've been much better.

30% might be a bit generous given the current circumstances. Assuming that Capcom pulled a miracle & convinced Marvel to let them use Fox characters, I'd only expect 4 or so Fox characters (3 X-Men & Doctor Doom).

I don't think it'd be as high as 30%. But I do think you'd more than likely get at least a few characters from the X-Men IP.

Well if we guess maybe 20 Marvel characters, that's only 6 out of 20. Maybe that's a little high, but I'm thinking at least 4 of 20. Namely Wolverine, Magneto, Sentinel and Doom. I'm also anticipating Storm as a possibility just to get more legacy characters.

I mean if we really look at it, Doom is Fantastic Four and all of those movies have bombed. There's really no need for Marvel to hold Doom back because Fox doesn't benefit anyway. Wolverine is also out after Logan so there isn't a huge benefit there either.

Deadpool is huge with or without Marvel supporting the character, and Gwenpool isn't going to satisfy casual fans as a replacement because they don't even know she exists.

i felt that Thor had a high execution level for a majority of his move. His movement was meh very slow as well.

He was really just too slow and cumbersome.

And his normals didn't really have much range. Thor just needs some quality of life changes.

And hammer throw for sure should have been a special or super.

Also steal geif's vacuum.

Hunter has the potential to get some great skins of different monsters
Just make sure to give him the Switch Axe AKA best weapon

Yet the Fantastic Four characters have been subject to the ban regardless.

As for Deadpool, like it or not, he counts as X-Men in the eyes of Marvel Entertainment. If the mutants are gone, so's Deadpool.

Yeah, "great movement" is an exaggeration. I liked his tri-dashes, but that's about it. Seeing a bruiser do that was so different.

Funny enough, one of the biggest debates in comics is Thor's speed. Most don't know if he should move like Hulk or move like Spider-Man. We know he officially is listed as having Superhuman Speed, but not sure how that'd translate to the game.

Yipes making me more hype:

IF the game is real, I do not expect megaman in any shape or form (besides a stupid fucking troll costume) just cause capcom gonna capcom as usual.

If capcom actually wants to please fans, GIVE US X GODDAMNIT. (I'll take sigma too :>)

You'll get Axl and like it.

Signed, Capcom.

Yeah...if Marvel's reason behind leaving X-Men out is to not give Fox free advertising to make their movies money, then there's no way they're going to put in the character that has made Fox the most money with their movie.

The use of the Azure Rathalos Hunter on the MH3U cover was a blunder on the marketing department in the West and some people at Capcom commented on how that cover was supposed to have the flagship Monster like it usually does (Brachydios in this case). But the Rathalos Haunter is very prevalent in their marketing for the franchise.

Thor's moveset wasn't the issue it was the balancing.

With some tweak he could've been a monster. A tough grappler with flight/dashes? Damn son. I think if he had some armor/get off me moves like Haggar/Hulk he would've been a beast because he struggles most against rushdown.

Also Yipes is ALL IN on the Marvel hype train!

I only follow some X-Men comics through the years and I must say I don't know the origins of those characters lol
Spider-Gwen is from an alternate reality (Earth-65, I think) where Gwen was bit by the radioactive spider instead of Peter. Gwenpool is a completely separate character from a world where they see Marvel as we do (comics, movies, shows, games, etc.). She knows most of the match-ups between the heroes, but the term "easier said than done" would apply for her.

His projectile assist was pretty damn solid. Yeah Thor just needs quality of life adjustments.

Spider-Gwen seems more likely to be an alternate costume in my opinion. Not sure how they'd separate both her and Spider-Man's moveset when power-wise they're basically identical.

Gwenpool has the opportunity to be a lot more different than Deadpool. I'd expect her to be closer to Bulleta rather than Deadpool.

No way. The guys who make Monster Hunter are super anal about crossovers.

To be precise, they're just anal about having an "official" Hunter represented in a crossover game like this, because they never wanted someone to undermine the players' avatars in the games.

Since then, Stories has at least had an official character in the form of Ryuto/Lute and his Lil Rathalos. There's also going to be a Hollywood movie coming out from the same guy who bought you the Jojovich RE flicks (...yay). And of course, they could just use a monster like Rathalos, Zinogre or Gore Magala, instead.

Either way, MH is going to get a big marketing push in the year to come. The team really can't afford to not have some type of MonHun rep in a game like MvC.

As much of a fan of Spider-Man's moveset, I'm beginning to wonder if he needs an overhaul. My issue is I can't imagine him fighting any other way at this point.

They need to revert Ultimate web throw to it's original form and make the punishment for whiffing a maximum spider be less unforgiving.

Yep mvc4 or port or BOTH is happening. Yipes wouldn't tag all those marvel heads and make that tweet for nothing.

WE ARE LIT BOYS MAHVEL 4 BABY!!!

I see, thanks fir the heads up!
I suppose that both characters are Gwen Stacy or I'm wrong?

I feel like Yellow suit Wolvie isn't being used by Fox so Marvel might not feel bad about including him. Hell they made X-Men '92 just last year so I'm not fearful that they will back down from using X-Men.

When Spencer and Taskmaster were more fun as Spider-Man than the actual Spider-Man, it's time to scrap the old MSH move set and re-tool him completely. I'm sure they could make a fun new move set without losing any of the key character elements instead of the patchwork changes every game. They haven't even done anything interesting with Spider-sense yet.

Spider-Man to now have a counter because of this post.
