Popeye's runs out of chicken, feels the wrath of customers

The only one that pissed me off was the lady saying kids are going hungry if they can't buy the chicken special. Nice thinking.
 
We had lines here in Chicago, but they didn't run out of chicken. I don't get why everyone went so crazy for it, they have coupons come in the mail that give basically the same deal.

Yeah, I noticed, but wasn't going to say anything. The one I went to was pretty mixed. All of us just wanted some chicken :lol
 
99% of those people are absolutely oblivious to how the real world works, apparently.

Threatening to not come back, laughable. I don't think Popeye's has anything to worry about.
 
Some other guy says "I was trying to feed my family tonight. Can't get that bucket in now.". :lol

Seriously, this reporting is worst than the Leprechaun one.

I tried to go that day in San Jose. There are all of about 36,000 black people in a city of over a million, so hardly significant, and there are SIX Popeye's. All of them were closed by dinner time. I went to my local one a couple days later and they said several thousand people showed up throughout Wednesday.

Aye, who knows??? Maybe it isn't just black people who like fried chicken, but that's just my theory.
 
How could this story have possibly been considered newsworthy to begin with? I guess the news folks wanted to do a nudge nudge wink wink lol story or something.

My favorite part of this entire thing is the guy who was on the phone while giving an interview saying "I'm never coming back now. I'm serious!" Look at him. Look at how big he is. That dude is going to be back next week.
 
I never understood why black people liking fried chicken is supposed to be a negative stereotype. It's like saying they have good taste. Isn't it a compliment?

Still, Popeye's should have offered some type of voucher(or did they?) since they did advertise that mess for a long time. Also, I have to laugh at them closing up early. They knew they had to get the hell out of there. I sure as hell wouldn't have wanted to be there to tell the folks we're out of chicken, shit would have hit the fan. :lol
 
I wouldn't care if they ran out of the chicken. I love Popeye's for it's cajun rice and biscuits.
 
But seriously this is like the Leprechaun video, the people aren't really serious. Sounds to me like those people have a big sense of humor and they just roll with it. They get more mad than they really are.

Leprechaun, Bubb Rubb, etc., it's always like that. And the journalists have fun with it.
