What did Tinashe win? A Grammy? An American Music Award? A Billboard Music Award? An iHeartRadio award? A BET Award? A Kids Choice Award? Anything? A nomination, at least? Hmm. What about a hit single within the last few years? A hit album? Or even an album release date in sight? A successful tour? No? Huh. That's unfortunate.

The gag is I actually enjoy a lot of her songs. But she is the definition of a flop and needs to either make better decisions or be doomed to mindie obscurity forever.

Tinashe needs to take a page out of the Carly book and accept that she's a flop, and start molding her career from there. She doesn't need to be topping the charts to pay the bills and work with the best producers, as long as she's displaying TALENT.

Her problem is she wants to make it really bad instead of being realistic. Her pop stuff is mediocre for one, there is an unwritten rule where there's only a certain amount of woc who can slay at the same time and R&B music isn't as popular as it was.

She needs to just do her and continue doing what she's best at cause shit like Superlove and Spark are not the tea.

I'd rather have another quality Aquarius- or Nightride album that flops, intstead of an album with trash like Superlove and Flame that sells 856939821 copies.

Tinashe doing pop is a waste. She needs to invest her talents into something else.

Aquarius and Nightride are amazing. I've listened to those more than I listened to BEYONCE and Lemonade

I somewhat agree.

Her biggest track is a Pop record 2 On. There's space in the Pop world for Tinashe. It's not like any other new pPop/R&B crossover girls are doing much.

But she needs a hit.

I think she needs to stop going for instant radio play, bubble-gum shit that any girl could do. Tinashe at her most interesting is when she's doing that dark, moody shit from her first mixtapes.

Pop Drake is great, been loving Fake Love too, plus his 2016 singles and collabs with Rihanna were all excellent. That was the year I became a fan. 👍

The King of Pop crown is definitely a 3 way battle between The Weeknd, Drake and Zayn Malik.

I know 2016 was kind of a shitty year if you were a woman, minority, inmigrant, british, etc... but the music scene was on fire except the occasional turds and/or flops from the usual suspects and those faded has been that would be better served staying in Las Vegas watching old tapes of the time they were young and successful instead of deciding to go out and peddle old shit and derivative TRASH to try to stay relevant in a world that has clearly moved on from them.
