As Turner's youngest and one of the portfolio's most immersive brands, Cartoon will deliver even greater content experiences that drive engagement across all screens and connects to the way their fans are consuming. Today, Cartoon announced a new slate of content including six new series and seven returning hits, as well as more than 20 original mobile and console games.

Long acknowledged for being in the forefront of bringing together premium content, fan experiences and technology, Cartoon's success extends beyond television screens into the digital and mobile space with a growing and diverse multiplatform portfolio.

o Cartoon is the #1 VOD choice across all of television.
o Cartoon has five of the top 10 animated series for Kids.
o Cartoon has amassed a robust digital and mobile portfolio of 44 apps, approaching nearly 150 million worldwide downloads.
o A roster of more than 400 free-to-play online games with the Game Creator franchise, generating more than 2 billion global game plays life to date.
o Cartoon's Emmy winning flagship app will get an expansion to Chromecast later this year and at least nine more games being added to its slate, plus two integrated game consoles.

"As kids' viewing habits have evolved, Cartoon Network has always been there with them," said Christina Miller, President Cartoon Network-Adult Swim-Boomerang. "From their first experience with a Kids network website and video app; to their first series VR game; and most recently, their first app to use ACR, we are keeping our sole focus on them as they inspire us to reimagine television."

"Cartoon Network has cracked the code on how a leading media brand can engage with fans through true total consumption," said Donna Speciale, President of Turner Ad Sales. "Whether it's VOD or gaming, or everything in between, plurals are connecting with this brand globally in ways most media brands haven't yet experienced. That presents an incredibly powerful opportunity for our advertising partners this Upfront."

We Bare Bears is still airing?

People watch We Bare Bears?!

Im not feeling these new shows, save for OK KO.
whats that supposed to mean? lol

So... Justice League Action is dead? That was Cartoon Network, right?
If so, that's disappointing but predictable.

Handled really poorly. I don't ever remember seeing it on the guide beyond that special premiere. Not sure anyone knew what to do with it or cared.

More Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and Gumball is always good. A few of those are approaching their last seasons though.

Teen Titans Go is actually good, so i'm excited for a new season.

Good thing Netflix is getting more into creating original animation because CN and Nick seem to have given up the goat as far as anything that is not a cutesy quirky comedy goes

It's almost like the American version of moe, only it's aimed at insecure kids and socially conscious twentysomething instead of insecure perverts

Ben 10 just gets more and more hideous.

In motion the last Ben 10 was the best it has ever looked. They also did literally every single thing they could with this concept in that series.

Their only options were to make it about his son, reboot, or let it die.

I've been wanting Ken 10 ever since the original Ben 10 ended. The possibilities were endless. Plus a PoC lead?! Would've been great. CN just don't make good decisions.

Would be interested in Craig of the Creek if I had cable. Heck, after reading that article I'd say that the new series coming in have a lot of potential. However, I don't understand how garbage like Gumball, We Bare Bears, and Teen Titans Go is still on. Remember when CN was actually good? Shows that I grew up with like Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken, I am Weasel, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Justice League, Teen Titans, etc are clearly superior to most of the things airing on the network now. I don't think that's nostalgia talking either; they seemed better written with more endearing characters and memorable plot lines.

I will admit that Adventure Time, Flapjack, and Regular Show were gems though out of the modern era.

The people running CN are idiots. I don't understand why they have a penchant for burying their new shows and doing all this stupid shit with their existing content.

What the hell is their deal? Seriously?

We Bare Bears is amazing though...

So is Clarence.

whats that supposed to mean? lol

Opinions, personally never liked WBB, i mean, it's a show about 3 selfish fat manchildren that tries too hard to appeal to modern culture to the point that it actually offends me that these characters are supposed to represent me and the audience.

The humor in that show will be obsolete as trends shift.

Additionally i seriously thought it was dead cause i don't see any buzz for it anymore like when it actually started airing.

Yeah. I miss when shows had linework that wasn't all the same width.

Maybe it's because they all stay on model but I feel like characters are so stiff in modern TV animation.
I want an action cartoon with some good detail RIP Thundercats

Nah, at best you can say OK KO and Craig of the Creek are a bit similar
If you said they were scenes from Steven Universe I would believe you

Steven Universe alums are leading those shows so Im not suprised

Gumball, Steven Universe and Over the Garden Wall are also pretty good

Im not sure what the point is picking shows from the past 2 decades to compare shows that came out no more than 5ish years ago, but its not like CN has stopped making gems

The new series not counting Ben 10.

Apple & Onion – Being new and naïve to the ways of the “big city of sophisticated food” doesn’t stop the wide-eyed enthusiasm of the lovable buddies Apple and Onion who are destined to find their way and make lots of friends on their incredible adventure of life. The friendship comedy is created by George Gendi (The Amazing World of Gumball).

Craig of the Creek – At the Creek, the rules of the outside world don’t apply in this kid utopia of untamed wilderness where Craig and his two best friends have ventured and tribes of children reign over tree forts and dirt bike ramps. The adventure series is created by Matt Burnett and Ben Levin, formerly from Steven Universe.

Summer Camp Island – Having completed a momentous and critically acclaimed run at this year’s most notable festivals including the Sundance Film Festival and SXSW, this wildly imaginative animated series, based on the original Cartoon Network short, will continue unfolding the mysteries that Oscar and his best friend Hedgehog encounter at a magical summer camp. The series hails from creator Julia Pott (Adventure Time).

OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes – Cartoon Network powers up a world of original heroes across the TV and gaming landscape together with the greenlight of this action-packed comedy followed by the console and PC game jointly developed with indie video game studio Capybara games. The knockout series is inspired by creator Ian Jones-Quartey’s childhood and follows the heroic feats of K.O., an endlessly optimistic boy attempting to level up to be the best he can be in a dynamic universe of heroes, friends and challenging foes.

Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs – The mouth-watering animated comedy series premiered earlier this month and is based on Sony Pictures Animation’s highly successful 2009 global feature Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and subsequent, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. The TV series is produced in association with DHX Media, Sony Pictures Animation and Corus Entertainment.

now that Adult Swim got Genndy, I don't care for non-Adult Swim CN... I mean I kind of watch Steven Universe here and there, but my love for it has been slowly falling off with how dirt slow the overall main plot moves.

JLAction was sent to die, which begs the question of why it was ever made at all.

Honestly the network's lineup is pretty good, it's their scheduling that's godawful. Back when the Western Animation OT posted that thing of CN's lineup, i counted out of a 14 hour day (non adult-swim time), you have 5 hours of Teen Titans Go and 4 hours of Gumball. Those shows aren't bad (both are similar in that they can get grating, but they've also got superlative episodes alongside that), but at that level of reairing people would get sick of anything.

If i ran the circus: i'd run TTG and Gumball from 6-9 AM (which they're already doing), then have 9 to noon be dedicated to classic and modern Warner Bros properties (like do Tom and Jerry then do one of the new Tom and Jerry shows, do Looney Tunes and then Wabbit). Noon to 2:30 would be an animated movie, and then the post-school hours would slowly go from the less-mature shows like TTG and Gumball to the more mature ones (like Adventure Time and Regular Show reruns) before Adult Swim started at 8.

And that's if you wanted to avoid having to dig too far back into the archives and air stuff like Dexter or Foster's.

Edit: Where's Infinity Train?

But Gumball is great. :(

Teen Titans Go is the second best show on Cartoon Network.

Glad to see Gumball returning as well, and of course Steven Universe is going to be back there was no doubts.
