Man, 2024 is looking lacking compared to 2023--but then again, what year wouldn't?

-Alone in the Dark (please, God, let it have learned from the recent run of stellar third-person action-horror games like RE4 Remake, Dead Space Remake, and Alan Wake 2)

-Avowed

-Frostpunk 2

-S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

-The Wolf Among Us 2

-Alone in the Dark: I've played an hour or so. Not super into it.
-Avowed: Haven't played it
-Frostpunk 2: Meh
-STALKER 2: Baller game. I'll play it again when it's more polished
-The Wolf Among Us 2: Did this come out? Will it ever?

My top games of the year ended up being:

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024: Spot on, it's crazy in VR. Will play it for years. Just need some patches.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2: Well, not really. But I did enjoy it, I'm glad it was made. But it's not on my best of list.

Elden Ring SotE: True. In my Top 5.

Unless they announce a bloodborne remake, the next pokemon legends or a zelda game for the switch 2 then next year is pretty barren so far for me

Well fuck again...
Apart from Tekken 8 being great, the rest wasn't for me in the end.

I didn't even like Metaphor (dropped it mid-demo), same as Visions' demo, and Persona 3 I bought but I couldn't be arsed to replay it all.
Next time I gotta watch out on naming JRPGs, I don't always end up liking those. FF16 was barely passable but only because it was fairly short to finish.

It was a pretty empty year for me. Thankfully there was a few great indies to occupy my time. Espacially Selaco.

My 2024 list:
- Tekken 8
- Visions of Mana
- Metaphor: Refantazio
- Persona 3 Reload
- Nintendo Switch 2 (I expect a new Mario and Metroid at the least. This thing is gonna be fire)
- FFXVI on PC
2025:
- FF7 Rebirth on PC (I'll just wait)

2. The Plucky Squire.
3.Eiyuden Chronicles Hundred Heroes.
4. Avowed.
5. Dragonball Sparking Zero (Sand Land if DragonBall is 2025)

Decapolice is in dev hell it seems. Plucky Squire was way more linear than I thought it would be. Eiyuden was great, but not sure it makes my top 5. Avowed got pushed. And DBZ is probably in my top 5..

As for my top 5 from this year actually... Shadow of the Erdtree, Stalker 2, Balatro, DBZ Sparking Zero and actually yeah, Eiyuden Hundred Heroes.
