I feel like you should get paid to take anything past season 2.

God I'm still mad about how disappointing BSG became, it was so good until it just fell off a cliff.
But....season 3 is one of the best season openers ever! Those first few episodes blow my socks off my socks. After that is a trainwreck a bit, and they butcher the bejeebus out of Starbuck. But season 4 brought back a Starbuck I love.

I've been dying to rewatch, but keep holding out that with some hope we'll get a 4k re-release soon..

I got the set new when it first came out around $200. I've seen it on sale a few times for pretty damn cheap between 30-40. It's a good price, but nothing too insane.

UK releases are usually cheaper for some reason. I know some years back when I'd follow Blu-ray releases, box sets were usually less than half as much as their US release on Amazon.co.uk.

No idea why. The universal monsters box set is the only one I can think of off the top of my head but it was definitely pretty common.

This seems really cheap so I'm wondering what it is that I am missing. The other sets are more but include collectible crap which I couldn't care less about. It also says UK released but lists all 3 bluray regions.

What's going on?

Nah its been that price for awhile, it just doesnt have all the extra crap the regular box set contains.....which is a positive IMO. The razor mini series and that companion peice Olmos did are not necessary.

I've been thinking about grabbing this series for probably a couple years. I eyeballed it a couple times on amazon noticing it was under $100 Canadian, but I noticed it was the UK version.

Thinking something was up, I went to Amazon.co.uk and noticed it was only £24 over there.

Read the description, noticed it was region free, added it to my cart and noticed shipping was only £3 and it was so cheap, I didn't even have to pay Canadian taxes. Including shipping, it's only costing me $40 Canadian.

Easiest decision I've ever made buying something.

Come to papa!

The one in the op link is region free?!

Yes this is region free, but be warned you might get discs that are grainy and you won't be able to replace them through Universal. So buy at your own risk.

There is a complete set that includes all of the movies and caprica for $138 that is well worth it and is fixed.

Mine just arrived in the mail. Cheapest shipping option and it arrived from across the Atlantic in less then a week.

That's faster then Amazon ships me new releases:lol

What is the difference between that one and this one?

Hard to say since reviews seem to not be version specific, however I believe they are identical content wise.

Here's exactly what it contains from a review:

The Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series [Blu-ray] CONTAINS:

- Battlestar Galactica (2003) (TV-Mini-Series)
- Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009) (the Main TV Series, All Seasons [1,2,3,4 and The Final Season]
- ALL unaired extended episodes of specific episodes from the Main TV series (as well as the original broadcast versions)
- RAZOR (TV Movie) (BOTH the original broadcast version and the unrated extended version)
- Razor Flashbacks (Minisodes x7)
- The Resistance (Webisdoes x9)
- I won't list the special features as they are on the Amazon product page, but I will add that there are also audio commentaries for each extended episode!

The Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series [Blu-ray] DOES NOT CONTAIN:

- The Plan (TV Movie)
- The Face of the Enemy (Webisodes x10)
- Blood & Chrome (a seperate spin-off prequel series that shouldn't be expected to be included in this box set. Can be purchased seperately)
- Caprica (another seperate spin-off prequel series that shouldn't be expected to be included in this box set. Can be purchased seperately)

Edit: the Silver one in your link includes "The Plan". That is the only difference content wise.

I think i figured it out. The version listed in the OP is an import version, and looks like it doesn't have the bells and whistles of things like 5.1 audio. The description says only 2.1.

The one that's like $120 has 5.1 DTS HD and stuff like that.

They all have DTS 5.1 HD.
