So people are dying for lack of food, shelter, clean water, and since we are talking about countries with AIDS/HIV epidemics, a lot of them are in Africa, so they are also being murdered by several violent terrorist organizations, but here you are making a big deal about condoms. Here is what Pope Francis has to say to that:

"I don't like getting into questions or reflections that are so technical when people die because they don't have water or food or housing," he said. He said when those problems are taken care of, questions like condoms and Aids can be addressed.

The church doesn't force them to not use condoms. There are several other organizations that offer them.

I know you're just taking the cheap shot, but still I'll answer you. From what I have seen, he has expelled some people, but the vast majority of them seem to be quitting even before it comes to that.

And God has given the church to man, but he doesn't control man. There is nothing man can do to cheapen God's word.

The actual fuck. How the fuck does wanting to be a priest or thinking about being a priest make one psychologically damaged? I have to think about my vocations and I think I probably won't be a priest but I'm still thinking about what I should do. It is still a possibility. How.... Why.... Do you hear yourself when you type and think about what you say? Is there any reason within you? And they are are all potential predators?

Like I said with the monetary abuse I'm sure there are some priests that do that and you should report them, but it is doubtful that ALL THE CLERGY in Italy are somehow complicit.

To be fair, the Catholic church has wholly deserved it at this point. There's no basis in Christianity for the priests to be celibate, if they weren't forced to be maybe we wouldn't have centuries of abuse (that has only recently started to see more daylight, the church did its best to keep the whole thing under the wraps). But not only that, the Pope actively advocates both banning abortion (it's not a clear-cut moral issue, but say someone gets raped, forcing her to carry the child is just fucked up in so many ways) and not using contraceptives. The Catholic church is dominant in some very poor areas, and the last thing those places (and the globe for that matter) need is more people. And still there are new instances of systematic abuse and coverups that keep popping up all the time. So FUCK THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, fuck it with a broomstick, sideways. Although it may just enjoy that.

As a gay man, the church already thinks of me as the spawn of the Devil, so I think they should also include the option to be a bad priest, like molesting kids, sex with men/women/animals, drug/alcohol usage and using the church as a cover for dark cult recruitment, drugs/weapons operations, etc.
