Beats reality TV by a mile at least.

That's not saying much, but it probably bears repeating.

I found it pretty entertaining...the tension defintely picked up in the second episode, giving it a 24-type feel. I'll probably stick with it for the next few weeks. BTW, they're repeating the two episodes on Thursday.

Man this board has a lot of jaded TV watchers. I enjoyed it, I was a fan of John Doe, so i am glad to see he is in another role, I'll never forgive Fox for not following up on John Doe's clifhanger season finali, or for canceling Firefly, or Futurama, or well, we all know how long this list could go. But in any case I think the show was pretty entertaining, and that fact that it's apperantly directed by Bret Retner (sp?) could give an idea to the quality we can expect from X3. I found this show enjoyable, and will deffinatly watch next week, and there's a new sub plot. He's gonna have trouble keeping his balance!!! I also liked the 24 style to the show, I am so tired of completaly self contained episodes of other shows, I love bog story arcs.

I do however see one problem with the show, I dont see how it can continue for more than 1 season, because obviously he needs to break out before May 11th, and though I dont know what day it is in the show (might have missed it if they did say) it seems it's less than a couple months ever, so that means he'll and Doe will have to escape before than, so if they do, where does the show go from there? Maybe about evading the law and clearing his bor's name?

I liked it so that means it will be canceled after another 3-4 eps :(

Hmm ratings were pretty good.

Fox got a boost last night, with the two-hour premiere of the action-packed Prison Break at a second-place 7.5/11 in the overnights from 8-10 p.m. Prison Break built as the night progressed as follows: 8:00 p.m.: 6.9/11, 8:30 p.m.: 7.4/11, 9:00 p.m.: 7.6/11, 9:30 p.m.: 7.8/11.

More people joined in. Nobody left. That's great news for FOX.

The ratings were bloody fantastic, to be honest with you. FOX finally succeeded with another early premiere, which is probably a good thing.

The show itself...fine. There is nothing fantastic about the acting, the dialogue or the direction. And yes, it makes little to no sense. However, I want to know what he has up his sleeve. I want to know how he plans on doing this, what the whole thing with the murder is all about...and that's what matters.

It really is similar to 24, although it is kind of all four seasons rolled into one. Prison Drama/Prisoner Breakout from Season Three, Sheer Lunacy in terms of planning from Season Four, Severing of body parts from Season Two and a genuine tension and mystery from Season One. It lacks the polish, style and reality that 24 brings to it, and relies too much on lame subplots (Cell mate's lady problems? Ah, no), but it has that feeling of an end goal being so close before obstacles get in the way.

I really hope they don't jerk around with the Post-Break stuff. I'm expecting a race to clear his name...and hope that stretching out a lame Feature Thriller plot (Which is what it is, at its core) doesn't put too much strain on what could be an entertaining ride.

I thought it was pretty entertaining and I'll be watching it again for sure. Hopefully this does pull in some viewers for Arrested Development, one of the best shows on tv today. I have a feeling he's gonna be getting out of the prison soon, but the preview certainly showed some stuff that says otherwise.
His brother being the in the electric chair, about to get fried
, but I bet that turns out to be a dream of sorts.

I give it 7.5 out of 10 so far.

... when I saw the previews (mind you I was not glued to the set)
I thought it was a new Fox Reality TV show where a guy tries to Escape from a prison :lol

I was certainly shocked to find out it was a show.

The fact that you thought such a concept for a "reality" show was possible (not to mention the fact that I can't blame you for thinking that) shows just how low that genre has gone.
