UK, where are you from? It definately got worse in the second half, there was some really bizarre shit happening.

Thanks, I still leave too many holes in the defense (especially the sides) and lose concentration (near the beginning of the second half you really were crushing me), but although I hate losing :lol, I enjoyed the game a lot :).

It should be perfectly playable. I can play Warhawk in US servers with 230 ping without any issues... and UK SCEE servers are only 60-90 ms away.

The one chance you had you scored, I hate it when that happens to me, because sometimes my attack goes spastic like what you saw with Torres being slightly offside, and Kuyt missing an empty net.

You are right, I won't question the result: you clearly were the better player :D.
I need to work on my mistakes though... for example the COM defense, effective, but I abused it and my players were really tired after a while.

Yeah that was one of the better games online, hopefully the online maintenance window tomorrow means a patch will be arriving very shortly.

Plus I learned alot about the website.

My apologies to your wife, PES 2008 is refusing to let me play online...

This is the first time a game pities me in such an obvious way :lol.

I give up, I will try again tomorrow night... hopefully their server-side work tomorrow can help the online portion of the game (Konami, I want an offline patch too :p).

We should do themed Tournaments, Like International Euro tourny or La Liga FA Cup African Nations cup, keep us on our toes whadya think?

I think it'll be lame going the same team online all the time I know Liverpool too well.

p.s. worst thing about lag is that it messes up your AI team-mates. Depending on lag, they cant properly play which is great advantage for opposite side. From tacking to accepting balls, it all varies depending on lag.

Yeah thinking about it Saturday is the bulk of the football matches plus MOTD, Sat 9PM wouldn't be ideal for me either.

Then again we could hold a tourny over the whole weekend and you can bicker amongst yourselves at suitable times.

Good games with FF_VIII although I bitched like I've never bitched before because you kept lagging behind my defence and scored. >:|

WTF! The event still hasn't ended I think both participants has to enter the results of all matches, I'll "cancel" this event and set the do's and dont's for PES rankings then.

Here's the rules for the tournaments I added.

Tournaments
Gaf PES Tournament rules.

First to enter a Gaf tournament you must register to http://www.pesrankings.com/ and search for whatever tournament I've specified in this matchup thread, by clicking My Event then typing in the name of said event.

Now that you've entered the Gaf Tournament the event will be held over the weekend (normally) it is your job personally to organize a time with whoever you've been paired up with to play your fixture.

It is important that when you've finished a fixture with your opponent that you BOTH log into Pesrankings and enter the result when the match is over.

The Finals of said Tournament will be held at 10PM on Sunday the latest, if everyone has finished their fixtures early and you can both agree to a time beforehand then you're welcome to.

Setting up matches
The person who is playing at Home is the one who starts a room and invites the person who is away when creating a room set invitations to limited to prevent any unwanted intruders.

During the rules set the condition to normal so everyone has a fair shot and prevents any players (particularly star players) with the dreaded grey down bar... it also stops people like Ronahldino and his vile dribbling (VILE I tell you VILE) from having the red up arrow as well.

Yeah, it's pretty rough. Part of it is next-gen migration, part of it is fragmenting the userbase even among three next-gen consoles, and part of it is probably the initial bugginess of the game's online play. As to the first two points, even last year we were unable to really get a big league or tourney going.

Certainly I don't think anything will ever live up to the WE9 league- http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86699 (of which there were actually two) because of the factors mentioned above.

When everyone had a PS2 and played PES on PS2, it was much easier. We'll see how much interest there is when the US release rolls around, but I'm guessing it will be sporadic like last year unfortunately.

Really too bad because when things work properly, it is probably the most thrilling online experience around when playing against people you know.
