Hello everyone, I know this is not much of the place for these kind of threads, but I'm already desperate and I want to see if someone could help me with this issue or help me find some solution somewhere, since I've been looking like crazy in google and Youtube with no luck.
I recently got the LG S95TR soundbar, and the first thing I wanted to do was to connect it to Wi-Fi. I downloaded the app LG Soundbar from the App Store, but it doesn't work. I also tried from an Android phone.
I always get the error:
Failed to connect Wi-Fi to the Soundbar.
A router was found but could not connect
I already tried everything that I could come up with: reseting the router, change password, resetting the soundbar, deleting the app.
I saw a video that you could setup the soundbar via Google Home, but you can't anymore.
I also read that you could use ThinQ app, but it doesn't work since you need to be connected to Wi-Fi already in order for the app to detect the Soundbar.
A liitle rant: Who the hell thought that something as basic and important as connecting Wi-Fi and configuring the soundbar, should be done via an App. Why aren't there any UI in the TV to do so? /rant
What I want to figure out is if the soundbar is defective, the app is not working, or there is an issue with the router. But how to tell?
I appreciate any bit of help, and have a great day!
Thank you!
