Alright, so I move into this apartment at the beginning of this current semester. I'm going to be here until June. Every day I get a HUGE amount of calls from this one place with the number 131-738-7704. I've checked everywhere online and I can't find a state with this area code. When I go to call the damn number I just get that busy/disconnected tone. I'm starting to lose it. I get calls from 7:00am on and when I answer I hear absolutely nothing. Does anyone know any way of tracking telephone numbers, or should I just disconnect the damn thing and my roommate and I just use our cell phones?

see the only thing about that is that I don't hear anything trying to connect or anything like that. Plus I live in a school apartment, I would have to deal with all that bullshit.

Your school can probably help you, 131 isn't a valid area code.

I just moved and got a new phone number. Who ever had it before me is now clearly in some deep financial trouble. It would be annoying if I wasnt at work all day and here to take the phone calls.

It used to be in my area that if you dialed *87 after receiving a call, it reported it as a nuisance call to the phone company. Enough reports about the same number and the phone company would take action. You might want to check if they have something similar in your area.
