The viral success created some discussion among developers on how to do the daggerfall style pixelart style in practice. So a guy called Dominick John started working on his take with Godot, he's active on Twitter where he posts additional video showing more in-game footage.

It's not AI. It was made by godot. The dev posted some legit proofs on his insta, but who knows these days.

The games that will be good will largely be made by existing developers making good games already just using AI to speed things up, do better QA and reduce costs tbh

You should put Thief and Deus Ex in the title - more people would be interested... but only until they've seen the graphics. Pixel art in a game like this looks like a dealbreaker.

When I started to see these AI generated dark fantasy pixelated "games" I wondered how much before someone tried to do it for real. This one looks not very good tho, some of the AI generated ones I've seen were honestly stunning.
