PS, I Love You- Greg Miller's new PlayStation Podcast

She has also stirred trouble, let's be fair

Calling Greg a backstabber for example
Well her old school view of the world would see that as a backstabber. I'm sure they broke bread at her house before, Italians on long island are stereotypicaly old school. She probably felt disrespected even though she has nothing to do with it. Greg ain't getting extra servings next time he stops by.

Why are you making these excuses for other people? Really just curious.

Man, that "Greg stabbed Colin in the back" viewpoint is childish as fuck. Their business thriving highly depends on how their audience views them as people, and Greg was completely in the right making that statement. If it was anything other than an internet business made up of buddies, Colin probably would've been let go (I'm not saying he should have been or whatever, just saying that in any other given "business", it probably would've happened). Greg could've just said nothing I suppose, but it was clear that he only said it because he had to.

It's like having a friend who keeps picking fights at bars and you have to get hurt to defend them. Eventually you're going to say "fuck you, I'm not helping you anymore".

You're bias is showing.

Exactly. I was just looking at their Twitch channel and the number one "rule" on there is "Talk Shit, Get Shot", so Colin goes on the internet starts talking shit...what's the next step? What follows if he starts breaking their "golden rule"? At what point do these Kinda Funny "values" have to be respected by the owners as well as their community?

If anyone is a "backstabber" it's the guy why is willing to sacrifice everything they built up as a team, just so he can make some sexist, alt right shit posts on Twitter, and start throwing shade at their followers? How does calling him out on breaking their golden rule equate to them stabbing him in the back?

I keep seeing people say "Hilary Goldstein was right" about Colin but I can't find any direct quotes. Can someone here clue me in?

I don't know if there's something specific that people are referring to, but I believe that Hillary just never liked Colin ever since they met when he was an intern.
If there's more to it than that than feel free to correct me.

Lol holy shit the one quote;

"This post made me think of a somewhat recent phenomenon, where people like this say or do something that they think is offensive, to specifically fish for negative reponses. And once they get these negative responses, they scream "triggered!", and that's supposed to be the joke"

Remind you of anyone?

I also liked the line about skipping pax to stay in his safe space. HA!

Also, on a different note; does anybody think the trade-off of Colin never appearing on podcasts anymore so he can make Colin Was Right videos was worth it? I bet if he had the option he'd choose to not appear on PSILY too. It just seems like he doesn't want to be at Kinda Funny anymore.

I'd be very happy if Colin was on nothing any more except Colin Was Right. The other podcast's are usually more enjoyable without him and the morning show definitely is.

Some notes from Colin's appearance on Glenn Beck's show. Mostly near-direct quotation, some paraphrasing here and there. Tried to get everything notable.

Introduction: Beck doesn't like "joke policing on either side," supported Colin after his #DayWithoutAWoman tweet

Colin says it's "surreal" being on, grew up with his father listening to talk radio, dad still listens to Beck, "got chills" when he heard Colin would be on.

Introduces Colin as a "conservative libertarian," "tatted up," "from SF."

Beck: How's that (political views) going for you in SF? Moriarty: "Not very well, apparently"

Moriarty: "Government should stay out of your business."

Beck: "My Constitutionalism bumped up against my religion; I came to realize we should stay out of people's business across the board."

Moriarty: I'm an atheist, but I think faith is good. I respect faith.

Beck: Isn't it funny that liberals have flipped "on everything" now that Trump has taken over for Obama? Executive action, etc.

Moriarty: Disgusted with the GOP. The party perverted conservatism.

Moriarty: Nobody's talking to each other. Both sides have traded reasonable stances for winning platforms.

Beck: What does it mean to be a conservative for you, in your situation? Moriarty: I think we're at an inflection point. Conservatism, to me, is a deference to the Constitution, personal freedom, deference to the states, free expression.

Moriarty: I was called a sexist for making a "silly joke."

Moriarty: Lots of people in the games industry tell Colin that he's the only voice in the industry he can relate to. Gun owners, people of faith confide in him, thank him for supporting them.

Beck: What does the word "conservative" mean?

Beck: Is anyone in SF "waking up" to the idea that safe spaces are restrictions on free speech, etc.?

Moriarty: There are people "waking up" in SF, but not very many. A vote for Trump is not a good thing, but only 10% of SF voted Trump.

Moriarty: I can't imagine being "restricted" in college classes now. I can't imagine schools placating and coddling students the way they do now.

Moriarty: Game industry folks are afraid of ridicule from their peers, tell him all the time about this fear. These people don't want to be "blacklisted" in the industry.

Moriarty: No one's offended by my joke. I don't believe that. They just see an opportunity to take [me] down. Beck: "Yep."

Moriarty: David Jaffe supported me after the joke. He's a liberal, but still sees negative reactions to the joke as unreasonable.

Moriarty: SF is "cartoonish."

Beck: Expert on killing says that video games help break down a mental wall that makes it "easier" for one to kill. "Do you want to tell me off for believing that?"

Moriarty: I have no interest in telling anyone off for a differing opinion. If a person plays GTA V and already has a propensity for violence, I'm sure that it's possible that it could set someone off. If five people kill someone because of GTA V, that's a mathematically insignificant number.

Beck: I'd love to talk to you again. Great meeting you.

First off, thank you for taking the time to give us this nutshell version! :)

Second, congrats to Colin for going on such a major show - it's a big deal for him so that's awesome.

As for the bolded, I really wish Colin would address what 75% of people (and more if just counting the KF fan base) are ACTUALLY mad about, which isn't that his joke was "offensive", but rather the trolling intent behind the joke and everything that followed it.

Not gonna happen, especially now he has been made to feel justified by his dad's hero who got goosebumps when he found out Colin was going on becks show.

I think this show answered everyone's questions about how will Colin react after everything that has happened - exactly how he always does, ignore the 99% of people making logical arguments and focus on the 1% who are, according to Colin himself 'out to take him down'.

He clearly thinks of himself as martyr, being victimised by the liberal extremists. He is going to just go further and further into this mindset, lashing out at liberals and playing the victim to justify his world view that people are too soft and need to man up and accept sexist jokes on national holidays and pre emptive attacks from people like him for daring to think what they said wasn't appropriate.

It's been coming.as soon as those right wing dipshits started approaching him the writing was on the wall. Can't wait to hear from Greg.

I'm really interested how this'll impact their patreon income, weirdly enough. I mean, they've got a person less to pay out, but still... Drama yo.
