Wow, fantastic. Would love another confirmation though... everything sounds a bit too good to be true.

My thoughts are that you wont be able to write on it if not though the Vita+usb/wifi/BT/etc, because the Vita will encrypt the data written to the memory card with a private key.
More like they just obviously chose a format so they could violate your wallet. It has nothing to do with anti-piracy or protecting from mods.Hitoribhoshi said:About the memory card : they just obviously chose a format you can't easily tamper with.

Who knows. If it's fast as lightning, then I'll complain less about the price.Izayoi said:More like they just obviously chose a format so they could violate your wallet. It has nothing to do with anti-piracy or protecting from mods.

Well, to be fair, the PS3 already works exactly like this. You can create accounts for any region on your PS3 and use any of them without a problem. I don't see why they would regress on that.Kuran said:Wow, fantastic. Would love another confirmation though... everything sounds a bit too good to be true.
I believe the multiple accounts were mostly meant for family members and other people living with you as households aren't really expected to buy several consoles. Handhelds however are often viewed to be personal like smart phones. I would've understood if they went that route even after having more memory. And if the multiple accounts thing turns out to be true, I somehow doubt they would advertize the feature of all siblings being able to play with one Vita.dark10x said:Well, to be fair, the PS3 already works exactly like this. Kuran said:I understand the security, and somewhere I'm disappointed we probably won't be seeing any CFW for this device.. I was really looking forward seeing this hardware unlocked so the homebrew community could conjure a full-speed Amiga or Saturn emulator.
Still, I'm so ready.
Yeah, the 3DS looks like something out of a cheesy sci-fi movie with all these lights in different colors.Raine said:I like the notification light. I also like my Vita without a bunch of LEDs all over the place. 3DS is a mess![]()
source : http://www.gameinformer.com/b/featu...psp-lessons-and-nintendo.aspx?PostPageIndex=1In addition, because PS Vita has a much larger, nicer-looking screen, and the existence of dual analog sticks, we will provide from a system level that some games benefit using the right analog stick. Like FPS or third-person action-adventure games. We will provide options to remap the control from either face buttons or the action buttons to right analog stick. So the control would be much better on PS Vita.
This sounds great to me. Is there any word regarding what the Activity Log tracks? I'm hoping it at least keeps track of playtime for each game, kind of like the 3DS. I'm in love with the feature.Jinfash said:I forgot all about the Activity Log.
Back in January, I had the impression that it would be a feature implemented by developers on a per game basis, when in fact it's a universal feature accessed simply by pulling up on any given LiveArea. Pretty nifty, as long as it remains exclusive to the user's friend list. It auto updates accomplishments (potential spam), and allows players to leave comments, which can be thumbed-up, but I'm not sure if it allows others to reply. If it does, then we won't be needing Vita game OTs anymore.![]()
But what does Sony gain from limiting it to one user profile per system?sakipon said:I believe the multiple accounts were mostly meant for family members and other people living with you as households aren't really expected to buy several consoles. People would have to have multiple devices for multiple save games, so +1 vita sale for sony.H_Prestige said:But what does Sony gain from limiting it to one user profile per system?
PlayStation Vita's Nico Nico Douga functionality will include more than just support for streaming videos covered in the service's characteristic walls of comments. Nikkei reports that Nico Nico operator Niwango is working on developer tools that will allow developers to build live broadcast functionality into their games.

are the youtube streaming just for certain people? i wish we had that feature as well lol.Takao said:I believe in game recording won't be a launch feature for the application.
Sony best be busting Google for some Youtube partnership.
DMPrince said:are the youtube streaming just for certain people? i wish we had that feature as well lol.
kinda hope it'd be easier than ps3 where it doesn't have to stop everything just to upload. but i guess with the ram you won't be able to do it on vita either.Takao said:I think you're allowed to do live events on Youtube if you're a partner, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I'd just like an "Upload replay to Youtube" ability in the OS.
That's a great feature. I'd never broadcast my own game sessions but it would be cool to watch a friend's and laugh at him/her over voicechat if that's possible.DMPrince said:

No more game sharing, so +1 sale of a game.
Did I miss something?immortal-joe said:Exactly :-/
Not to stop the excitement, but im sure we are all aware that PR people in these trade shows often give incorrect info.
I really hope multiple accounts are in, but Sony is starting to back-track from their 'open' mentality;
- no more switching Hard drives on PS3
- modifying how game sharing works
- no removable battery
- ...etc
Regardless, portable of the forever![]()

Hey, hey. You can say a lot of things about their previous OSes, but there was a cohesive and an almost palpable sense of style in everything they developed in the past 10 years, up until this point.MuseManMike said:This.
OS looks absolutely horrendous. Has that patented Sony lack of style. Still room for improvement I guess.
DJmizuhara said:Hey guys, I bare bad news.
If you remember back to last week I said that I was told by a Sony employee at TGS that the VITA would support multiple accounts. When I've just been informed that this isn't the case. It's exactly the same as then PSP account system.
This news makes me sad as I really wanted to both my US & Japanese accounts on my Vita When it's released on December 17th. But it does mean I'll no longer get my trophies messed up because I was logged into the wrong account., so it looks like I'll be playing mainly on my Japanese account.

CamHostage said:Sucks, although with 3G it shouldn't be nearly as big a roadblock as on PSP, right? With PSP, I have to decide before I leave home whether I'll be playing downloaded Japanese or American games; with Vita, I should be able to swap my account login on the fly.
(BTW, thanks to the OP for this thread, so much info in such a concise form!)
lol I've said this to myself so many times. It's like you just want to be comforted by your mommy after you slipped and scrapped your knee. Just tell me there's a chance and Ima gonna be alright!DMPrince said:preorders canceled.
lets all tweet to Yoshida and see what he can do and let's not take an answer like "well think about it" or "We are always listening to fans".
