I have some hope for this game... but memories of this PSP launch title give me shivers:

...it's Activision, so yeah...

Are all games gonna be available on the PSN same time as its released n the shops?

Thinking of going all digital. Can't see myself carrying carts around. How big are the games?

That's what they're advertising. All games day and date released on PSN and retail. The biggest game so far (Uncharted) is like 2.7gb or something.

It's a great thing. Logically, could expect almost up to 4gb until they decide to get bigger carts.

The only issue is in the US I really doubt the games will be cheaper on PSN when compared to retail. In Japan games are around $10 or so cheaper on PSN than MSRP retail, though some stores still undercut PSN pricing on games. I expect in the US that Vita games on PSN will be strictly MSRP which means retail stores having sales will still put the physical copies cheaper than digital.

If I buy a physical copy of a game can I register it on psn and download whenever I want like a steamworks game?

Nope. That would be a great idea though. But I'm sure people would just end up buying a game, registering, and then selling the retail game.

I'm getting so insanely pumped for February. I keep expecting the shoe to drop, and me not being able to pick it up on the 22nd.

It's going to be nerve-wracking this last month.

I think I'm just going to settle with playing Lumines Supernova on the Vita from my PS3. I'm sure it'll drop to $20ish after a few months.

It looks really good and I'm super excited but $40 just seems to steep to me. I wonder how much it will be on psn as a direct download. That may be a good option.

So if I buy a 3G model and pull the SIM card out of an AT&T phone with a data plan and just stick it in the Vita, would that work, or is that not possible?

Q Entertainment twitter said Amazon will have a preorder exclusive for Lumines. 3 MP3 tracks from Q.

Also, I'm sure Lumines Supernova doesnt have remote play, unless remote play is enabled on Vita for PSN games...which would be news to me

I'm interested in the soft pouch. The one that was included with PSP too and that is sold in the Starter Kit above. Does it mean that Sony is not going to sell this pouch separately?

Would you suggest me a pouch as little as possible?
Thanks.

Thanks.

I can't imagine why Vita would have a need for a SIM card, so I doubt it. Of course if it did work, AT&T would probably nail you with an upgrade fee.

I do not know if it is already covered but.... the 3G Vita works even without a simcard, right? I know that the 3G US units will be simcard-locked, but it is the only model I will be able to buy, so I will left the 3G function without use, but all the rest will be fine, right?

And why the Japanese launch thread was closed?

Going to try to go to the Vita club in Miami tonight, are they open the same hours as the opening night? Hard to find information about it.

Not that I've seen. I'm still a little shocked at how great of a promo that was. Very glad that I was able to get in on it.
Ya, I surprised a couple EB managers showing them that certificate... I had to cancel my (long-paid-off) EB pre-order to take advantage of it, but I wasn't going to ignore a free copy of Uncharted.

Damn. Besides Uncharted it's my most wanted game.
I was so excited by it that I paid off the pre-order back in December... Oh well, with interest rates so low, it's not like I could make the $40 work for me any other way...

My mum said she might give me some money towards, or even fully pay for my Vita as an early 21st birthday present :D Which would be awesome, as i can then buy a 16GB card instead of the 8GB i planned to get, and maybe pick up an extra game too. Good times.

Going to buy a 16 GB card at GS today. Was going to buy from Amazon, but they're offering no discounts.

Wipeout is going to be available on PSN, right?

That can't be right.

How can they have games that aren't released?
And I'm sure Uncharted was like 2.7GB.

Maybe they've got review copies/downloads?

I would expect PAL games to be larger, unfortunately. More language options = more data, especially where full voiceovers are used (as I'd guess is the case in Uncharted).

Another inventive to go with a foreign account as your primary on Vita for downloads, I guess... (if English is your language)

...might as well get Disgaea 3 ala DD then, since I have no intention of getting rid of it and so I can always grind on the go to my heart's content.
