I don't see why it has to be an either or situation with the Vita when it comes to console experiences and bite sized experiences.
I don't prefer one over the other, but I like the idea that, thanks to all the input methods of the Vita, I won't have to worry about somehow being at a loss for either type of game experiences.

No, all that is being shown here is the price that BestBuy has on their system for the sale of download codes. Sony has officially said that there WILL be discounts when buying from the store but they have not said what they will be yet.
As I said in the thread about it, Best Buy are still making a profit on those sales so it's still possible that a higher discount will be applied when buying direct from the PSN.
Maybe before launch they'll let us know!

Here's my problem with the Hori protector; I want to put a screen protector on the system the second I remove it from the box. If I make the stupid decision of getting a First Edition bundle, it won't be out for a week after release. If I wait for a official release, Amazon still doesn't have release date delivery on it. In either case, going with Hori makes it so I can't use my system right away.

Listened to this weeks podcast, they said Vita games will be up in the store starting on the 14th (the ones that are in retail on the 15th), so you can get your head start a day early if you choose.
There won't be a Vita special section for the store up until the 21st though. Games that are retail 22nd though won't be up on PSN till the 21st as well.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't see the 32 GB one on there anymore but I ordered the 16 for a few bucks cheaper. Along with the 4GB I'm getting with the bundle, that'll do me as I'm not planning on purchasing a ton on PSN. By the time I fill them up, there should be cheaper pricing as well as some third party alternatives.

No, I'm pretty careful about my stuff and take good care of things. That doesn't change the fact that a screen protector is easiest to put on when the screen is brand new.
Not the same. iPhone and iPad are glass, PSP and Vita are plastic. Glass is resistant to scratching, plastic is not.
I'm going to rent it from Gamefly actually. I think $50 is a little much for a one play threw game as well.

Very cool system! It's very light, will fit in my inside jacket pocket (Best Buy guy didn't care that I tried), though it was hard to judge the quality of the screen when playing Little Deviants.

I played about 20 minutes worth of Little Deviants, and spent the time wondering what Sony is thinking marketing what may be the worst stab at children's franchising in a long time. The graphics are rubbish. The characters are appalling. The games themselves are not exactly a showcase.
Glad I'm just getting WiFi + 32 gig.

All of the other sizes will be on hand but not that one.
Ideally, I'd love to have that card on first edition launch day but I don't trust any of the sites (Best Buy, Future Shop, EB Games, Amazon, Costco) to ship it to me by then even with expedited shipping and I'm not confident I'll be able to grab one at Best Buy directly when I pick up my preorder.
Being able to grab it early from EB would have been ideal.
I think there may be some bleedover into the following week's PSN lineup for some games available at retail on the 15th.
I've only seen hard commitments from Sony and Ubisoft of their games being loaded into the Valentine's Day PSN update.

No such thing as release date delivery from Amazon.ca.
Best we get is Priority shipping and the estimated delivery date in that scenario is February 21st. Not good enough.
And Amazon.com won't commit to release date delivery internationally.
Hence the dilemma for Canadians remains.
Motorstorm RC is NOT a launch title. Check the OP for launch window titles on PSN.
