Stinkles

Clothed, sober, cooperative
God of War
Katamari Damacy
Baldur's Gate: DA
MGS3
A good FPS

Seems like it wouldn't be that hard.

Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X
Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill 3
Silent Hill 4
Devil May Cry
Onimusha
Onimusha 2
Onimusha 3

Sonic Mega Collection
Mega Man Anniversary Collection
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
Midway Arcade Treasure 1 and 2
Klonoa 2
Gradius III&IV
Gradius V
R-Type Final

Just give me an SSX game (SSX4 had better be announced at E3).

I want ports of every game I wanted to play, but didn't have time to. Like some sad marketing drone, I am actually enjoying "opportunity gaming" because I am too busy for "appointment gaming."

I feel dirty.

Eeww, you said "opportunity gaming"

No point in owning a PSP if I can just play the exact same games on its bigger brother. I'd rather have more original games

If you want original and innovative, play DS.

If you want awesome, fun, unoriginal ports, play PSP.

The only game I want ported from anywhere is Princess Crown, and it is already coming. After that I just want it to come to the USA, and then whatever else comes will be filler for my love.

NO PORTS PLEASE!

Remake of old game = deal
New game paying homage to old classics = deal
Straight ports = NO DEAL

:(

Untold Legends will take care of your Baldur's Gate DA needs. :)

I'd like to see:

-Castlevania SOTN (with the new areas from the Saturn version, Richter and Maria fully playable with their own storylines, and some more new areas on top of everything else. DO IT KONAMI)
-Street Fighter III Third Strike
-Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution
-Tekken 5
-Soul Calibur 2
-Metal Gear Solid (any of them)
-Phantasy Star Online
-Onimusha (any of them)
-The King Of Fighters Neowave
-Guilty Gear XX #Reload
-SOCOM (with multiplayer!)
-Splinter Cell (with internet and wireless multiplayer as well. That would be awesome)

I'd say Devil May Cry, but we're getting a NEW version for PSP.

Although I'm hoping that the PSP doesn't become a dumping ground for PS2 ports, I'd love to see this one on the system. Mainly because not nearly enough people played it the first time around...

I have no broblem with devs making original games in a certain series, but I don't want any straight up ports.

I'd like a new iteration of Frequency, Virtua Tennis, Super Puzzle Fighter, etc. But I don't want those games specifically. I would make an exception for certain games, like the Metal Slug series (1/2/3) cause the original devs aren't there anymore, so an original one would blow (like MS 4/5).

Princess Crown could be directly ported for all I care, I have never played it. It looks so, so awesome. They could not do me the favour and bring it to the US for Saturn, so all I want is for them to pull that bad boy on PSP.

Wait...I though you wanted PS2 ports =\

The only game I can think of that's also on PS2 would be Timesplitters. Wouldn't mind a version based on Timesplitters 3, but it's going to be weird playing these games with only one analog stick again.

Here's hoping Konami's Coded Arms turns out well.

Not a PS2 game, but I really, *really* want Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo in PSP. The GBA version is decent but I want a no holds barred better than the original experience.

Coded Arms won't turn out good because you can't make a good FPS with one analog stick and face buttons.

Well random layouts suck too BUT

There will never, EVVVVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR be a good FPS title on PSP because the controls won't allow it. Unless PSP Dual Shock comes out soon.

Games that I want ported: NONE

If you're gonna bring a PS2 game over to the PSP, bring it over with all new content.

Exactly how I feel. It's not that I'm against the idea of ports, I just can't think of a single current-gen game I'd want to play on the PSP without some kind of added content. Future simultaneous PS2/PSP releases are fine with me, though.

What I'd love to see are some PSOne compilations on the PSP. Suikoden 1+2 on a single disc would be awesome.

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread. I definitely wouldn't mind buying a straight port of this game for the PSP.

I'd like to get Dracula X: Rondo of Blood. I know it isn't a PS2 game, but I think it's a game that should be on the PSP.

Ok let's clear things up once and for all here ok?

1) Coded Arms does not have random layouts as stages.

The game has fully designed levels and bosses for a full single player game experience. The random level generation engine is used to subsequently use existing portions of the from all the layouts already designed to generation and endlessly on-going mode for you to play after beating the single player mode so you can challenge yourself to see how far tou can get with random items, weapons locations, layouts, enemies, bosses, etc on and on. The random generation engine is also used to create deathmatch levels when you play in in ad-hoc mode.

2) Coded Arms has partial lock-on aiming.

The downside of the PSP's controls are known to the developers and they have implemented a system where the weapon fire will lock-on on enemies in the general direction you're aiming at to make the game more playable. It's odd that you mention how with one analog you can never have a good FPS yet the N64 has what many people consider the best console FPS ever made.

3) Coded Arms has 100% user customizable controls.

Although the game has a bunch of presets to choose from, they will also allow you to remap every single button to whatever you wish to map it to depending on how you want to control the game. Pretty nifty imo.

NOTE: Having said all that, I believe the game still looks like complete crap as far as motion is concerned and I have heard that it controls like crap too from the various playtests in TGS and Gamer's Day. I'm not too hopeful for the game turning out great but I just hate misinformation going around. :)

Which makes it fine for a game like Katamari; less so for a game like God of War or MGS, unless you're able to save whereever you want.

PS2 ports may not be the best idea for the PSP. Taking a property and tweaking it for the PSP, there's an idea.

It seems you are right, good sir! I have tweaked my viewpoint on Coded Arms to cautious pessimism!

I don't really want any ports, maybe Gradius V, but that's as far as I'd go. If I buy a PSP, I want games that are built for portable play in mind. I want stuff more in line with Lumines and Metal Gear Acid than I do Dynasty Warriors or Wipeout.

If I want a console game, I'll get it on a console. I don't want or need console games on a handheld unless I absolutely cannot find it for consoles anymore, which in that case, really just calls for a game from the prior gen.

A verson of Smugglers Run would be nice.
Tekken of course
Sci Fi FPS.... pretty please
Alien Vs predator shooter
Umm make that a whole series of Alien games .. :)
War of the Monsters
episode 3,4, or 6 star wars flight shooter

Culdcept (and make this version online).

I second this.. I so much wish Culdcept was online for PS2 :(

Street Fighter III/Anniversary Edition would be greatly appreciated, hopefully Capcom programs a little more "give" to the moves because of the PSP's d-pad.

The other one I would kill for is Final Fantasy VII Remake. I know that's not a PS2 title, but whatever.

PSU when it comes out. I would settle for PSO for now though. Also would like to see the ESPN football before the EA has exlusive rights. Be a shame it will be atleast 5 years before I buy a new football game.
