FROM MY COLD, DEAD HANDS!

Me tonight:

SONY, YOU MANIACS! YOU FUCKED IT ALL UP! DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!

This fucking sucks. The Dual Shock 2 was the first basic control pad I ever really liked. ;_;

Maybe they'll surprise me again and this shape will be even more comfortable, but I've never liked any of the third party batarang pieces of shit, so I seriously doubt it.

Oh well, at least all the controls are in the right places. :/

DUAL SHOCK 2 -> USB ADAPTER PLEASE ASAP

I LIKE IT!!!!!

The handgrips on the DS2 have always been too small for me, and I have average size hands. With the DS2, if my index fingers are on the shoulder buttons, I'm holding the handgrip with my middle finger, my ring finger is sliding off the end, and my little finger is totally off the controller. This is a controller I can grab on to. Form follows function.

If you think about it, Sony hasn't really designed a controller since the original PS1 (analog shit don't count...same damn design). Hell even then it was probably based off whatever nintendo did for them

Need a size comparison with the 360 controller but it looks like they made it wider..which will make the analogue positioning even more uncomfortable.

Also these are Bluetooth...anyone got any idea why they are doing that?

The verdict is still out on Revolution, but who in their right mind could've imagined SONY of all people having what may be the worst next-gen controller?

Hopefully they'll do a better one like with the Xbox Controller S. Still they hit every part of their presentation with the PS3, how could they blunder like that with the controller?

So this is what Sony comes up with after losing that rumble shock patent thing eh? *cries*
That's what I was thinking - it's the only explanation that I can think of for this controller.

this thing is fucking hideous. someone has got to figure out a way to use the X360 controller on PS3... i just can't accept putting this double dildo in my hands when playing games.

Third party controller sales will probably be a big market for PS3... provided they don't shape 'em like the Dual Dickie. That controller will never touch my hands, I'm buying a 3rd party controller the day I pick up the PS3.

you know I just came to the conclusion that all these different wireless controllers means that there isnt going to be an easy way to use another systems controller on a different system

hmmm unless they make a receiver box that takes say the 360s wireless signal and converts it to the PS3s wireless signal hmmmmm

actually though it isn't confirmed in PS3, both might very well use standard USB ports for wired controllers. Maybe it will be really easy ;)

:lol :lol :lol

Sony is probably waiting to see the REV controller so they could go back to the drawing board and completely copy it. Shit happens.

I guess I am lacking the common sence to relate partial buttons symbols with this controler. Explain.

I didn't mean it in a bad way. Maybe it has a light in it so you know what player you are?

I don't know about you guys, I'll wait into a hold the control to see if it feels comfi. I don't see a problem with it really, I've used a PC control that looked that like and it worked out damn well with my fighter game Emu.

brought to you by the people that brought you the torment-o-matic, uncomfortable-thing, and the top-seller ugly-as-shit-o.

This thing reminds me of PC controllers, and that is a very bad thing. The up side is that the button design is basically the same as a Dual Shock so hopefully DS can be used in place of it. At least the have kept the seperated D-pad, I hate discs.

I guess sony figures they can make a fortune off of Chavs who throw it around the park expecting it to come back.

It is crap. Everyone at the show hates it. Even Sony people.

Even Sony people? That's encouraging. REDESIGN :)

Honestly, if I had to choose between that monstrosity and the old DS2. I'd easily go with a wireless DS2. It's all my fault, I asked for a radical re-design and THIS is what I get :(

I'm sorry Sony, go back to the way it was!!!

It'd be hilarious if they redesigned it...

Sony: "Welcome Chang3"

Consumers: "No!, Chang3 it back...NOW"

Sony: "but, Chang3 is good..."

Consumers: "I've picked up a 360...im walking to the register..."

Sony: "OK OK OK heres a wireless DS2"

This controller was actually was kick ass, IMO. Great stuff...until the DS came along and the company never created a DS version of it, that I'm aware of. Very comfortable despite its awkward looking design. I don't like the look of the new PS3 controller, but if it's like the controller pictured above, it might be pretty damned good.

The worst thing about the new controller, however...is the fact that Sony still won't alter their stick placements to match that of the GC and XBOX/X360...grrr.

WHen I use the DS2 my finger tips go past the shoulder buttons, with the PS3 controller my finger tips would be right on top of the shoulder buttons.
