"So, back from the GAF (ban) What a joke...
Well, the symbols do NOT represent "2006". It's a little hint
....and it will be a "welcome change"

are you fucking kidding me.

OK, I wasn't reading the caption very carefully since it's a little blurry and my first run through I read, "The Playstation boss rides a Las Vegas hooker . . ." :lol :lol

Now all they need to do is get Steve Martin to do a rif on L.A. Story for their ad campaign.

"What do you mean Welcome Change? Is it a riddle?"

OK so only 5 people in America remember that movie but thats the first thing I thought of. :)

Maybe halved symbols means "half price"
Maybe you can get half priced games if you download them over some Sony online store or something.

Just my silly guess.

PS3 isn't the only new product that Sony will roll out at E3.

I just heard that they will finally reveal their answer to Xbox Live during their press conference.

Axsider....care to comment?

Yep. Expect it to be very "sega saturn" ie, it'll be included in PS2 games shipping in the very near future.

For what? I'm not cockteasing anything. I just want to know if its true.

My apologies. I'll make more of an effort not to just skim through the posts before responding in the future.

No, no he meant Axsider is banned.
He is posting on B3D though.

Nice ad campaign. Does anybody know what agency does Sony use?
For the past couple of years (at least - maybe even during PS1 days) SCEA has been using TBWA\Chiat\Day agency. Same agency that Apple uses for their campaigns (Think Different, Ipod dancing silhouettes)

I got a call this afternoon from a co-worker who'd flown down to L.A. a couple of days in advance of the show. He passed along word that, immediately upon exiting LAX, there is a billboard with the iconic Triangle, Circle, X, Square PlayStation symbols and the text "Change The Gam3," where the "e" in "game" is a "3" styled after the "2" in "PS2."

So... it's officially on.
OMG.

i can't sleep now with all the excitement.

or maybe the halved symbols represent buttons with lower pressure sensitivity..? its a design feature =)

Oh, and using Verdana usually gives away a fake, too.

Sp0rsk, can you update the thread title? I know it's stupid but it bugs me every time.

Or maybe it means you have to buy multiple PS3s and link them together to get the most out of your games.

That pic shows four pieces of the button symbols. Top, bottom, left, right. Perhaps each button can be pushed in 4 directions. :)

It still says PlayStation 3 underneath the 5 :P

I know what it says, silly, I wasn't trying to make a convincing PS5 advertisement. Just used the poster that contained only the number to show what would happen ;)

Interesting thought. Would be something worth lookin' into, certainly.`

Wouldn't be the first time that Sony has made us buy multiple units, though it would be the first time they were open and honest about it. ;)
