When I try to check out I'm greeted with "This content can not be selected at this time". Do the people who make Home go out of their way to make things as inaccessible as they can?

Yeah some of them might. The sandals cost .49Tkawsome said:Good to know, that will help.
Edit: Download is working now. Maybe there's an error with one of the individual items.
At E3 2011, Sonys Jack Buser revealed to Gamasutra that the companys social platform PlayStation Home reached an all-time high in user activity levels since the PlayStation Network came back online.
Were having record traffic in Home, said Buser, who serves as director for PlayStation Home. The week we restored the service, we hit a new record in terms of weekly unique users.
We were watching the numbers and we were just so excited. We were just dancing in the streets. The numbers are through the roof, he added. I think it speaks to the loyalty of our user base, and to the power of these kinds of platforms."

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-06-16-e3-causes-playstation-home-stampedeHalf-a-million people flocked to PlayStation Home during E3 2011, according to VentureBeat.
Only 46,800 were at the actual E3 show in Los Angeles.
PlayStation Home hosted a virtual E3 space last week, allowing gamers' avatars to digitally stroll around a replicated LA Convention Centre.
I'll just say a lot. Just login and check things out. New navigation menu, background downloading, etc. If you were last in it the first week it launched you will notice many improvements right off the bat.CrankyJay said:Do people still use PS Home? I never bothered with it after the first week. What sort of additions/improvements have they made since it launched?

Yeah, one of the main complaints people had early on (myself included) was that you had to walk anywhere you wanted to go (and it must be said, that does promote the community feeling) - you can do all of that from the menu system now.tirminyl said:I'll just say a lot. The microtransaction stuff is a bit bullshitty, but look at the items you get as you unlock -- some have credit versions equivalent to the buyable stuff. Those are Sodium credits which are synonymous with Sodium One credits. If you've bought S1, go in there and grind for credits there (goes by really fast if you've got a maxed ship) and buy your gear in S2.spats said:Some pics I took from the Sodium 2 space. It's a good game although it could do with less microtransaction shit and more gameplay. That said though it plays well and is a lot of fun. Think WipEout with bigger and heavier ships and less technical tracks.
Continue your mission in PlayStation Home* and try out three great mini-games.
Jack Buser said:here are people that are "literally spending their lives inside of PlayStation Home", he told Giant Bomb - and they are "rabid consumers" of content.
"If you look at the average Home user, they are the most hardcore gamer on the PS3. They buy more games than the average PS3 user, they play more games than the average PS3 user. They also watch more movies than the average PS3 user, who is already a highly self-selective consumer," said Buser.
"We're talking about rabid consumers of media and hardcore gamers. That's who these people are."
"You have different kinds of users," he went on to explain. "You have users who are spending a tremendous amount of time on the platform, literally spending their lives inside of PlayStation Home. You have other users that are using PlayStation Home as something that they do between games. They'll have a big game they bought, they beat the game or otherwise get tired of the game, so what do they do with their console between that and the next time they buy a game? They use PlayStation Home."
It's because you've added both the bundle and the individual items to your basket. Just get the bundle, and when you go back in you'll see you have all of the items.PjotrStroganov said:I get an error on many of the free items in the PS Home section.
No, I can't get the items in the basket. Where the price should be 0.00, it says error.No45 said:It's because you've added both the bundle and the individual items to your basket. Just get the bundle, and when you go back in you'll see you have all of the items.

The series of concerts will take place over four days, starting at 8:00 p.m. (7:00 a.m. EDT) on July 23. The concert is then repeated twice a day at 1:00 p.m. (12 midnight EDT) and 8:00 p.m. (7 a.m. EDT) on July 24, 29, and 30.
A venue was previously created for the concerts as well as special "guard training" and free screenings of Macross Frontier within Playstation Home. The anime will be running until July 21.
The concert was first announced by Macross Frontier voice actresses Megumi Nakajima and Aya Endo at the Macross F Jōhō Kyoku short program in January.
They have an area with Veritech fighters too?

oh ok. Thought I missed something. Im sure Home will continue to 'evolve'. Im sure they will have Vita version. If they dont, they will lose alot of revenue. Think about it. Home casuals aka hardcore Home users(lol) will eat that shit up. I've seen folks spend more on Home than on PSN games or games in general. Thats crazy.spats said:Yep, I can't back any of those up in any way. That's why I was willing to take a bet.The video just showed that they clearly haven't abandoned development of the platform. And what better time to show off some substantial new stuff than one of the two conventions.

Deep Silver and Sony are teaming up in a special takeover event, which will transform the area(plaza) into a Dead Island-themed tropical resort. Players will be able to check out 10 new minigame challenges, and those who complete 'em all will get access to an exclusive in-game item: exploding meat.
The challenges encourage co-op play between up to four players, who will have to build items and stave off zombie attacks. The zombies are relentless and awful, giving visitors a glimpse of what it's typically like to be a female user of the Home platform.
In addition to earning the exploding meat, players can also score an exploding zombie outfit if they preorder the game from a special Dead Island kiosk within Home.
