This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
I hate platinum hardware. It looks okay for cell phones, handhelds, etc but it doesn't look good as part of an entertainment center. It looks cheap. I'm sticking with black, if it's available.

Like I said before, PS3 looks ugly; controller looks potentially great. I grew to like the 360 design (very much) after MS released official shots of the system, so I'll clearly take that design over this.

Seriously, the system sounds like a beast (though I'm really dubious of many of Sony's claims, as always). But the design of both the system and controller are fucking terrible. The 360 is okay, but Sony really dropped their design ball.
I just noticed something interesting. In an updated revision of the SCEI press-release, they've removed the atrocious "spiderman"-logo and replaced it with generic text. There is hope!
I saw these shots at work, (well, conference shots of the system), and I'm sure I've seen an off-brand DVD player that looks shockingly like it.
