One day, Sony, please, revert the main store back to it's PS3 version and not the super slow PS4-clone version. This was so much faster...

...and it technically still exists, but I can only access it today by using an in-game DLC menu and tricking it to get there.
Man, wouldn’t this be amazing. It will never happen but the old store was so much better :(.

Now if I could just do something about that pesky yellow light.

edit-I plugged it in last night for shits and giggles and it didn't even beep, no lights at all. It's dead. It was one of the back compat models with the 4 USB's on the front.
Any news on PC ports of all those Ratchet and Clank PS3 games?

How? PS3, PSP, and Vita content hasn't been purchasable through the web for years.
I thought that content couldn't be directly purchased on the PS3 either since they turned off payment system

The only way to actually buy content on PS3 store today is to buy a PSN gift card, add the balance, and then use the balance to buy a PS3 game

PS3 still ballin' in 2025.

I'll update this weekend. Yes, my PS3 has been hooked up since 2008. It will always be hooked up. In fact, there's actually two in the house, my wife has hers in the guest bedroom.
I'm...I'm still just marveling it took the PS3 to make you post ANYTHING.

I still have my super slim hooked up to the same screen I play my PC one. I’ve recently been playing a lot of PS1 games I’ve been buying off of eBay.

My launch PS3 ran fine last time I booted it up but I just now realize it's been in my storage locker since September.

Coldest it's gotten around here is maybe 5-10 degrees F. (-12/-15 C)

Should it be ok or is it fucked?

This is true. You either have to add a gift card to your balance or add funds manually into your digital wallet through the PS app/website and only that set amount of funds.

Why would i want to use another device to buy games for the device I’m currently on?
The argument doesn't matter because it's not even physically possible. I'm not even sure if that poster will come back to answer my original question.

Ken's baby lives. o7 to this damn-near 20 year old console. It only did everything.

My 2009 slim 120gb is ready. Never opened or cleaned/repasted, still trucking. Currently enjoying her golden years as a Motorstorm / PvZ Garden Warfare machine.

Again, there is NO PS3, Classics, PSP (beyond PS4 anvailable games), and Vita web console store. That was dismantled a few years back.

The only way to purchase that content is to have money in PSN account and purchase it on Vita or PS3 themselves.

Sorry I wasn't paying attention to what thread I was in. I thought we were talking about the ps5 storefront.

Do people really use the On Console store? I just buy on a PC.
I do. I bought a bunch of titles a few months ago. There's still some gems on there. One of them was Twisted Metal PS3, only 9.99.

Also has Fatal Frame 1-3.

Takes forever to download and even longer to install. I get nervous about the HDD failing from being overworked so I'm mostly done with getting digital. I have such a God-Tier physical and digital collection.

As long as it's not damp so that ice has formed inside it it should be fine. But leave it turned off for a while after bringing it inside so that any condensation can evaporate before you use it.
