It really is odd but yes, there currently are no notifications for when a friend comes online. The PS3 had this I'm not sure why the PS4 doesn't.
Regarding parties, I'm not sure.

Is it possible to delete games off your trophy list? I have some ps3 games that I'd hardly played and would like those gone.

On the Vita you can hide them.

I don't think the echoing is because of the earbud. We've all tried different mics and we all still echo. Hate it wish it would get fixed

I had really fast download speeds on launch day, but have experienced incredibly slow speeds since Saturday. Anyone else having the same problem? Any fix? Thanks

If one has hundreds of friends, that person should be able to go into their settings and turn the notification off if they wish. That exceptional case of people with huge friends lists is not a good excuse for why this feature is missing from the system.

So I have some share button footage from last night and a screenshot that I took. I didn't do anything with it, just saved it to the harddrive, but now what? I can go to storage and see it, but I can't figure out how to do anything with it.

What do I do?

How exactly does the share button work? Sometimes it takes screenshots, other times it takes video. Probably doesn't help that I'm trying to figure it out while crashing out of BF4 every few minutes.

I don't have a PS4, but I read that in the settings menu you can choose how you want it to work. So, short press = screenshot, double press = video, etc. - all configurable

So don't the PSN card work anymore on the PS4...I can't get the free trial for Unlimited Music,I can't add the 30 free trial for PS + because you can't get pass the screen that wants you to verify your CC...I dont want to use my CC guys,I have 100 bucks in my wallet,isn't that enough...? jesus,I hope my PS + sub renews automatically in a few days with my wallet money from PSN cards...I have set it to auto.

Given your tastes I'd agree. To answer your original question, I feel like we're already kind of seeing the differences. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not sure we're seeing much that's topping Infamous when it comes to the pure witchcraftery they're dropping over there at suckerpunch.

And that's out in March.

One Hangup for me regarding PS4 is the lack of launch titles.. Man, that's a hell of a drought until Feb/March.

I'm psyched up about Knack, and that's about it. But I feel like coming back home to PS will reward me in the long run. Ya know?

I'm in the UK but considering picking it up with mine next week. I've heard almost nothing about the next gen versions of the game, though.

Not currently due to HDCP being active while playing games, there are workarounds, methods to strip the HDCP but it's not direct

Removal of HDCP on games has been promised by Shu in a future update

Yea if you don't like shooters then you're SOL and March is far away in gaming time. Not sure what to tell ya. Sounds like you should hold off for a bit.

But I know me and if I were you I'd want one now because I like having things. It's tough.

So did the ps3 have a flash plug-in? I was under the impression that it didn't but I went to go continue a series my gf and I had been watching on the ps3 and the 4 told us nope because of flash.

We must be twins then, because I MUST have a console ASAP. It's killing me. I could wait until next week, worst case. I wonder if some stores will have plenty stock for Black Friday?

Local GameStop says they could potentially have some in this week, so he advised me to check in at both stores every morning. Crossing my fingers, because if I get my hands on that XB1 with no PS4 option, I may just collapse and play the XB1.

I seriously hope not. Last time I checked I had around 750MB in storage already. I'm hoping at least a decent bump to like 5GB.

Check some of your local retail chains too for consoles and not just Best Buy or Gamestop. They might have some stock left over or keep theirs longer. I know one of our local chains, Meijer, had some stores get 30-50 consoles at launch as opposed to Walmart, which got something like 8-10.

As someone who was a cheap ass and has done nothing but played free games and cross play on PS4 so far, I look forward to playing KZ, Knack, etc. so I'll be fine until March when I get more money to buy more games lol.

PSN is messing up again. What's New is empty, games are missing their community sections, and downloads are being slow. It's like Saturday all over again!

So I have a lot of burned DVDs of GCCX seasons, and I find out that PS4 doesn't even recognize them when I popped one in. Is that a final thing, or is DVD-R support something that can be patches in?

I'm at a slight handicap there. My preorder is at GameStop, and I took advantage of some of their trade-in promotions. So I doubt they'd just give me cash for canceling my preorder. I think I may be stuck with GameStop. Any ideas?

If you're missing some of the convo, I've got an XB1 preorder paid in full at GameStop. Might help to fill you in lol

Whether or not it is patched in is a whole other question entirely

I can't imagine the drive is incapable of reading that specific type of DVD in this day and age so it could likely be patched in

So is the PS4 supposed to continue downloads in standby? I had DC Universe downloading and turned my PS4 to standby while I went shopping. I turn it back on and the download had stopped. I also got 42 notifications that the patch was ready to install. Weird.
