PS4 Pro boxes getting prepped

I've decided to go to Sony's NYC launch event tomorrow. If I'm not one of the first 200 people in line, who can buy a console, I'll preorder it at the 24 hour Best Buy and grab it at midnight from there.

I'll miss out on Target's 15% off, or Best Buy rewards, but it'll be a cool experience to be at the launch event. Their PSVR event was a lot of fun.

Worst case scenario, I don't think it'll be completely sold out on launch day. Preorders are still widely available.

Tomorrow morning my PS4 Pro will be at my doorstep (New Zealand here). It'll be a nice reprive from the terrible election news. And yes, the rest of the world cares and is watching closely.

I'm trading in my current PS4 tomorrow. Do I need to like deactivate it before I do so?

If you do a factory reset, it will deactivate it for you, I sold my OG a few months ago and it was a really easy (but time consuming) experience.
 
Decided to put a disk in so I could play something Bloodborne after midterms, and I have to say, the disk drive is really quite loud. Like really loud. The fan is okay, its not whisper quiet but its not annoying when playing anything, but the disk drive is... hmm...

I'll play some Bloodborne tomorrow and tell ya if the disk drive's sound annoys me or not...

You'll be lucky. Amazon UK have been shit with Prine deliveries lately.

I'm picking my Pro up first thing tomorrow from GAME.
 
Woohoo got shipping confirmation e-mail from Amazon. Ordered September 24 in Oregon. Hope they send me more free workout cream with it, that thing was worth $40.
 
Unless my unit is the only one like this, I'm expecting some complaints about the loud disk drive in the coming days.

The top of the pro is just a shiny ps symbol. It does not light up.
There is a light just below the lip of one of the layers when the pro is on but it isn't distracting. (basically its the light from the og ps4 just in a new location. Not on the top, but in front and less "in your face")
 
Got mine Yesterday from a italian chain, it is nice and quieter than my launch unit, the logo doesn't light up. Now i just need a 4k tv :)
 
Best Buy status just changed to "preparing" and still shows it available for pick up 11/9. Fingers crossed! If all goes well I'll have mine tomorrow morning.
 
Amazon UK order is definitely not coming today. It's staying put at the Hermes depot today. Got a nice code through for cheap dishonoured 2. £18. Bargain!
