I'm not sure what the confusion is with Best Buy orders, unless they have differing e-mail templates or something. The e-mail I got from them clearly says (in the subject line no less): Your order will be ready for pickup on 11/10/2016. If you go to the order page, it says Status: Ready to pick-up, but right next to it it says "Available Thursday 11/10".

You can sign up for Email alert on it on Amazon's site. I've tried every site I can think of outside of ebay and everyone is out of stock in the U.S. for the 2TB.

It's ready to pick up on Thursday the 10th – you know, the launch date. Gamestop does the same thing by calling a day or two ahead to let customers know the item is ready and can be picked up on the release date. That doesn't mean you can go get it now.

Mine just shipped from Amazon this morning, saying it would be delivered Thursday. Just tracked it via UPS though and UPS says it'll be delivered Friday

Smh, I knew something was wrong when they shipped it from Texas and not only that, they shipped it through UPS Ground instead of 2 day air as it should have been. No way in hell UPS Ground can make it from TX to LA in 2 days....

It's bullshit, because they've never fucked me over before, I always preorder my hardware with them and they've always come through and usually have midnight launches. I've been boned by Best Buy, and Amazon sucks because stuff gets shipped. I guess I just have to shrug it off, I've still got a preorder for a headset there

That sucks. I ordered from Target about 8pm Friday and my order is set to be delivered tomorrow. Even had an issue with my first order that got canceled. Reordered with the help of CS and everything.

I never had to sign anything when it came to packages from Amazon unless it was a pickup then they would require me to sign something.

Are you selling your PS4 before picking up the Pro? The direct LAN data transfer would have been a lot quicker in total downtime.

While I don't have a direct test, assuming read is faster than write the the restore should be quicker.

I never had to sign anything when it came to packages from Amazon unless it was a pickup then they would require me to sign something.

Depends on last mile carrier and product. I've had them make me sign for replacement Food Saver bags while they left my launch PS4 and games at the door.

I'm probably being a little paranoid but... Amazon shows it shipped mine on the 8th and it says it will be delivered tomorrow. HOWEVER, checking the tracking number on the UPS site shows that it will be delivered on the 14th. I took tomorrow off so I could make sure I was home for it, but I'm not sure which info to believe! I guess I'll check in the morning, and if it doesn't show "out for delivery" I'll just have it shipped to my work. I was really hoping to get it all set up this weekend!
