PS4/Xbox One Features that still need clarification?

My two questions

Will we be able to save what the PS4 records on the hard drive or is it just for social media ?

What will be the audio quality of the DS4 audio output for headphones ?

Ps4/XBO

Can I set per user time limits for my kids?

Any other parental controls?

Time limit for kids would be a really smart function.

Xbox One - Music CD playback
Made a thread about it and searched the net for info but nobody seem to know anything about it, we know WiiU and PS4 won't manage but XB1 is still a mystery, the silence makes me worried though.

This hasn't been addressed yet?

It's stereo.

Digital pre-orders on Xbox One:
-Can we pre-order digitally?
-Will pre-order bonuses be available for digital pre-orders?
-What about pre-orders/bonuses for launch day games, which would need to be placed before we have access to our console?
-Will pre-loading be available?
-Can we expect midnight unlocks for digital games?
-Will retailers ever carry digital game codes? (Would be nice to be able to get digital games during retailer sales. Amazon used to sell XBLA game codes, so I don't see why this can't happen.)

In the IGN AMA, it was revealed that pre-order bonuses will be available:

Yes, this is something we really like and you’ll see us use it for a variety of digital offerings and more.

and pre-loading will be available, but not at launch.

most of these are answered in ign AMA

digital games come out the same day as the retail
pre loading will be added on later down the line ,not at launch
pre order bonuses will be there for digital
Will retailers ever carry digital game codes? yes later down the line, killer instinct is already doing that.

Pretty much anything to do with Xbox One.

This is the most confused I have ever been about the features of a console at the beginning of a generation.

if move will work on ps4, then the ps3 camera will also work for the ps4? then what's the point of the ps4 camera?

very very confused!

Can we change our PSN ID......... ?! Even when you choose to display your real name, the ID is still showing below your name, so thats important

Move will work on PS4 as shown at the PlayStation Meeting. However, DualShock 3 controllers will not work on the PlayStation 4.

If X1 truly uses skype for its video and audio chats, does that mean it will be able to chat with ANY device that uses skype (say an iPhone or Laptop)

I would still like to see an in-depth demonstration of the "Share" button functionality, as well as some more details on all that Gaikai craziness for the PS4.

PSN account and social network account relation and how does it work.
Can you follow/subscribe others player aka tweeter style? We know Xbone have this feature, I would love to follow Shu and Co.

Move on PS4 works through the PS4 camera. Not the PS3 camera.

Will we still need to manually sync trophies?

that's the thing. why can't the ps3 camera work as well? unless the $60 ps4 camera has improved. oh well.

I'll add another question about PS camera.
Just dance 2014 for PS4, play without controller or need the move controller?
If the the former, does it mean Kinect games can port to PS4 easily?

Can it download patches etc automatically without me needing to pick an account to auto sign in? As my kids are starting to play more and more on the PS3, it is frustrating for them that it signs me in first, then they have to switch to their profile. It'd be good on PS4 if it just let them choose from the start

I always wonder why people are using mkv in the first place. I'm betting for a lot of people, using mp4 would still do exactly what they're wanting, and would give them files that play on far more devices.

How easy is it to get mp4s supporting multiple audio tracks and soft subs as well as lossless audio? Can it? is it just an issue of devices not supporting those features?

I don't think it wouldn't, technically, work.
But the new one has 2 cameras, not just one, and a higher refresh rate. So whatever game would be made for move on the PS4 wouldn't properly work with the PS3 camera.

Will PS1 games downloaded off PSN work on the PS4?

I'd also like to know if, when playing local multiplayer, can my friend sign into their own PSN Account and earn trophies whilst we play?

In regards to that last question, I looked into my tweets about the controller and found that I made a mistake. I actually asked about dual sign ins since most ps3 games didn't support this. Shuhei Yoshida said yes, we will be able to sign into more than one account and they will also be able to earn trophies.

While it doesn't need clarification because it's certainly not going to happen (Though. It. Should.) there is a feature I would like to see implemented at some point this coming generation.

As a person who is getting both (Buying PS4 at launch, getting X1 for Xmas) I'll have friends on both platforms. I feel like if I buy a game for one of these platforms I should not have to purchase it again to play it on the other and should be able to get a digital version on the other console (much like it being done with cross-gen games releasing soon).

To avoid people selling the other digital copy you could be required to put in the physical disc of the other console and the system will read the disc, but only to verify it is legit. We know this is possible because you have to keep the physical PS3 disc in the PS4 to play the digital copy on the PS4. And because it's confirmed the PS4 CANNOT play PS3 discs, it still must be able to recognize the disc.

Granted this method would only work if you choose to buy a physical copy for one platform. As for if you initially purchase a digital copy, there could be a site online between the two companies (MS/SONY) where you could link the account between the two as verification.

What do you all think? Do you agree or am I way off base?

If the PS4 will still use a poor NetFront browser again or not.

What is the WiiU browser like, I believe that's the latest NetFront version isn't it?

As others have mentioned, which features are real and which are to be added at a later date (aka potentially broken promises)?

That would be a very useful feature to have.

We know that every game will have installs but is it all game data? or only part of data to speed up load times. If so if there are option to install all game data.

Remote play has been stated that it's a hardware feature and not something the developers need to add. I want to see it work on a third party game just to set my mind at ease.

Xbox One
-Digital prices
-Digital games at day one Retail launch

PS4
-Party Chat
-Shared licences

Both
-Interface Customization like dinamic themes or colors
-Posible retrocompatibility at some future

Will remote play be blocked for games that are also released on the Vita? I mean I could easily see EA asking Sony to block it on Fifa 14 for example to allow the Vita version to sell better.
