I was at work and went to psdirect to browse at 830 and forgot about the 30th so wondered why I was in queue for. It let me shop at 858. Was looking around and the 30th console was there and I'm like meh I guess I'll buy. Now I have 3 consoles lol.

FYI this is relation to the fact you have the usb cable clip the wrong way, it's supposed to clip around the usb cable end that plugs into the console, not the controller.

I think the slim looks better personally, although part of that has to do with the fact my slim now fits in the gap under my tv without obstructing the screen. It's a more reasonable size than the original console or the pro.WasHoping for the pro console but this is still nice. Now to find a disc drive.

In NA, the Best Buy app will have the 30th Anniversary DualSense in 15 minutes. You have to have the app. Then they’ll have the 30th digital edition as a Drop Deal.

I didn’t get one on the Best Buy app. I was literally there the second it went live. It put me in line and then I got in another line. Eventually it told me I couldn’t get it shipped but there were 0 available for 250 miles.
I said screw it. Not worth it. I’ll enjoy my black DualSense. The thought of the classic gray is nice, but the fun is like pulling a rare pokemon card. That sucks.
Sony turned this whole 30th anniversary into some stupid lottery.

I believe this is to try and prevent scalpers from getting all of them. If it was like the old days people would be bitching that scalpers got them all.
I see a lot of whining like limited edition is something new. I remember wanting the 500 million limited edition PS4 badly (more so than the 30th anniversary bundle). I didn't get it. Sucked but I understand what limited edition means.

I was a little sour about it. I got the 25th Anniversary DualShock 4 without any issues. I’m trying to be happy with what I got instead of focusing on what I don’t have.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but having owned the pro since launch, I originally had some issues with the disc drive being noisy in the vertical position. It actually took me a long time to figure out the best way to fix it. I tried shimming and several other things to quiet it down, but nothing worked perfectly.
The solution ended up being super simple. I bought an oversized mouse pad, put the console on the pad, and now it is quiet as a mouse. It’s not even a super thick mouse pad, which I would not recommend. I got the knaf’s oversized pad on Amazon. Working backwards, my problem was using the PS five pro on hardwood. The console itself on plastic, which is rattely, the pad absorbs all the noise and vibration. Hope this helps someone, it really does work.

I really can't decide if I want to return my 30th Dualsense Edge.
I decided to open it up and at least use it a bit more before I sent it back, and it's definitely makes FF7R and Stellar Blade better with the paddles but I've got multiple issues:
1. It's expensive. It's basically 3x the cost of a regular controller.
2. Battery life sucks
3. I always saw people having issues with their grips coming off.
4. I feel like there isn't much use for regular controllers because besides a few games why would I want to use the regular one including my 2 regular 30th controllers.
but on the other hand
1. It's something that I'll never really be able to get my hands on ever again.
2. It really does elevate a lot of games (I do prefer GT7 on a regular controller for some reason though).
I know it's more negatives then positives but it hasn't really made it any easier to decide.
