Stick your finger in its arsehole.
Why are you trying to get OP to completely ruin the console? If you submerge it in warm water it will spit the disc out
I had to manually eject a disc out of my launch PS4 - which I believed was faulty, because it used to switch on randomly and eject discs - and the clicking I believe is when you over turn the manual eject screw, and the clicking goes away when you dial back a quarter turn, or trim it until it still ejects, but doesn't click. My PS5 arrived yesterday, and what do you know: it's busted.
When I press the eject disc button the disc simply doesn't come out. The system thinks the disc has been ejected, though, and pressing the button again causes it to beep like there is no disc in the tray. People online are saying that putting the system in horizontal orientation fixes the problem, but that didn't work for me.
I took off the side panel and used the manual ejector screw and that worked to get the disc out, thankfully. Since I did that I've been able to eject discs, knock on wood, but the drive makes an unpleasant clicking noise when it does so.
I'm sending this back to Sony, but before I do I wondered if anyone else has had this problem and if there's an easy fix.
Oh I have an opinion. I believe the XSX gets more right for my gaming tastes than the PS5 does. I just formulated that opinion by actually owning and playing BOTH systems. You can ignore all the legitimate complaints people have with the PS5 if you want but if you only invest in one platform of course you will defend it. It's its pretty funny if you think Demon Souls or Spiderman are some sort of next generation of games. They are great looking games that could and in one case DOES run fantastic on the PS4. Both MS and Sony are pushing cross gen titles but only Sony said they believe in generations. Funny how only MS was attacked for that stance. But what insignificant issues would all of you make up stories about while pretending to own both consoles to not appear biased while the rest of us play New Generation games? You all need something to do until 2023.
So you wasted $500 plus $140 for DeS and Spiderman so you can confirm you like the x better and you can go on a forum and talk about how you don't like PS? Genius.Oh I have an opinion. I'm a gamer dude. Gaming is my hobby and I play games on a multitude of platforms. Only fanboys pick one platform and make childish attacks on forums. I don't trust said fanboys when they are talking about a platform they don't even own.So you wasted $500 plus $140 for DeS and Spiderman so you can confirm you like the x better and you can go on a forum and talk about how you don't like PS? Are you vegan? Can I suggest going to a steakhouse and ordering a porterhouse to chew and spit out? Make sure you complain to your fellow diners. They love that.
Yea, for the people who want to be able to access things they spent money on in 10 years. They still put games on discs?
Dont worry I've called the supervisor

@geordiemp Can you come to the front desk, i think we have a fud spreader.
Nope. The only real reason to get a ps5 atm is to flip it.Is there any part of the Sony's next-gen package that doesn't have any problems? Honest question.
Coil whine, hard mid-game freezing and crashes, external HD issues, ethernet cable issues, Dualsense trigger breaking, stick drifting and even not charging, lousy store, expensive games, poor Pulse headset mic quality, being too big for what it's worth, absolutely worst rollout of a new consoles ever (still can't go into a store and buy one where I live) and now not ejecting discs.
Oh and nothing releasing anytime soon that will harness full power of the machine, no news on major announced games release dates.
This thread is about 80% of people who don't own a PS5 though. If I had to guess I would include you in that 80%. I'd be surprised if you have an x, but you definitely don't have both.don't trust said fanboys when they are talking about a platform they don't even own.
do you know what you did there...? lolNope. The only real reason to get a ps5 atm is to flip it.

I went back in and turned the eject screw back a couple notches and now my PS5 seems to be fixed. . .discs eject normally without clicking. I'm thinking that maybe the side plate wasn't on all the way and that was interfering with disc egress or something. We'll see if this holds, but looking good so far!I had to manually eject a disc out of my launch PS4 - which I believed was faulty, because it used to switch on randomly and eject discs - and the clicking I believe is when you over turn the manual eject screw, and the clicking goes away when you dial back a quarter turn, or trim it until it still ejects, but doesn't click.
On my PS4 the random switching on was actually caused by an extra trigger spring magnetised to the left rumble motor - since manufacture, which I only worked out 12months later, when I replaced the joystick tops and broken shoulder buttons on my dualshock4, from too much PES and Arkham Knight IIRC.
lol most games need patches though. by the time people who bought digitally can't access their games you won't be able to access your patches. let's hope nothing ever happens to your console or you have to reinstall the game. so using that as an argument isn't really valid.Yea, for the people who want to be able to access things they spent money on in 10 years.
You're reaching. I can still play a game without a patch...can't play a game if it doesn't exist.that's what you get for still buying physical discs in 2020. i have no sympathy.

And where did I say I didn't like the PlayStation? I like it just fine I think the XSX does some things better. I can call out some issues I see from the market leader. I expect better they've been at this long enough. Why give em a free pass? People don't give MS a free pass.
You are joking right, how many devices you need to play the same game?Destiny 2 hit the XSX and PS5 the same day. On the XSX I booted it up, the game updated and I was playing. On PS5 I booted it up and it started updating the PS4 BC game. I had to stop that update and uninstall Destiny 2. Then I found it on the PS store and downloaded it again. When I did that the system started downloading BOTH the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game. I had to go online and see which version was the PS4 version and stop that download again. Once it was downloaded you had to make sure the licenses were correct for the stuff you own and get those parts again. It was a total pain and I expect better from Sony.
The OP had a problem but the answers were to the funny side until your stupid comment. So they play the remaster, what do you play that is way better..... Or you just come to attack one portion of the fanbase with stupid remarks.SonyshillDefence Force™ out in full strength in this thread LMAO!

Now please excuse them whilst they go andmake love toplay their £70 PS3 remaster, £50 PS4 expansion, £70 PS4 port and... Astro Bot!ClimaxGreatness Awaits™!
PS: I'm not sure what the relevance is for eXcLuSiVe GaEmS in a thread about a technical fault on a PS5, but you went there...
Good luck playing those games without day 1 updates. A cyberpunk disc with no updates would be worthless.Yea, for the people who want to be able to access things they spent money on in 10 years.
