I think they will be showing almost everything including the console itself, price and 3rd party + 1st party launch titles like they did at E3 2013, since theres not much time left. I dont expect them to reveal the exact date or specific launch countries yet.

Edit: Thursday it is.

Given our current climate i don't think it's a good idea to reveal the launch date just yet. Holiday 2020 is still good for now.

They could hold on to the price and reveal that along with the date at a later time to garner attention once again on the PS5.

Why i voted: PS5 games + console design.

Completely sure that Sony won't reveal the price.
Only my expectaion is design and launch games day1.

Games, console design and price.

Games - already mentioned.
Console design - would get leaked if they left it too long.
Price - I think they're confident enough and it'll help with getting pre-orders locked in.

I'm going to say only games and that they will announce date and price, and PS4 price drop, in late July or August.

If they have a great software showing they can name their price. Design doesn't matter nor does price to most fans that will buy day one regardless.

This games reveal will determine if I buy day one—is there something worth the price of admission.

At this point, I'm just expecting a series of logos and pausing for applause.

Nothing would surprise me anymore because we are already dead and in purgatoery.

PS5 games only and console+price reveal in august.
I think August will be too late, especially considering unemployment % rising (IIRC), the outbreak(s).
People would require more time to prepare to get things in order, especially in these chaotic times IMO.

My understanding is the console is going in production soon. So they probably want to control and reveal the design quickly.
and games as they promised to show games.

I think it will be games and console design, specially after this delay and there being reports that they started production.

Games are obvious, console design due to the risk of leaks being greater now.

They won't release the price unless they show the console. I feel like they will reveal the price because didn't Jim Ryan warn that the console wouldn't be cheap? Sounds like they are preparing us for the hit or they are bluffing to goad Microsoft into being comfortable going with a higher price. It's happening in June, which is historically when the whole shabang is revealed....but Sony has been really shy lately and they probably wanna hold something back for after Microsoft's next presentation.

I'm gonna go with Games and Console...no price. Final answer, Bob.

You don't give a price but no console design. You don't make people pay something they can't see.

Would assume box + games; then the promise that it will be worth the price tag.

I'm hoping for everything. I NEED to know what this sucker looks like and how much it's going to cost so I can get the funds together. I know I have a lot of time before launch, but I'd feel a lot better about it if I had a price I was saving towards. I want to see the box and the games, too. Sony needs to stop bullshitting around and playing cat and mouse with Microsoft. The PS5 is going to sell like hotcakes, so let's get this thing revealed already.

There is absolutely no way Sony reveals the price. They know how they mainly won this gen und want MS to go first again.

Definitely the console reveal, since this is in production and otherwise chances on leaks will be too high. They'll also discuss the OS and new features, and show some games to show the capabilities of the system. Expect something that looks really good. They won't show every game.

If we don't get a date tomorrow don't expect it until after 14th June. I think we are looking at end of July and a delay into spring 2021. Microsoft will follow suit. Neither company is ready due to covid.

I expect games and reveal of the console. Price might come at a later stage. But I'm hoping Sony does a big blowout now and just lays all the cards on the table and set the console up for preorders. Let the hype machine rev its engines.

I bet it will be 12th June, because together with the reviews of Sonys hype game chances are high(er) that they "win" in social media and the news against Floyd related stuff.

I hope so. I just don't see how either company is ready to launch a next gen console this year. Microsoft are kind of stuck because they have already shown off so much. If they delay into next year its doa. Sony have some room to manoeuvre which is probably why they are possibly thinking about slowing things down more.

MS didn't show that much more than Sony, actually just how the console looks. There will also be a presentation of the MS games and maybe even a Lockhart. Perhaps they also have an ace up their sleeve like AR. Who knows, but i think MS didn't show everything as well.
Definatley an interesting year for all gamers.

They let journalists play around with the hardware. They have shown more than Sony, who only discussed their specs. Interesting year for sure and covid has messed up everything.

Pricing can be held for a little while but at some point they are going to need to reveal it because retailers won't take pre-orders without a price.

They say they want a big exciting event, so i imagine theyre gonne give people what they want. games that really show the capability of ps5, and what the box will look like.

I think theyre going for a similar thing with their console, seeing as cerny mentioned showing the cooling tech in a future teardown.

It's already in production and if Sony wants to get ahead of inevitable leaks they would need to show it the console design at the event, especially now that it's been postponed.

Sony are waiting for MS to reveal their price first.

This cat and mouse game could go on until the day before release :messenger_grinning_smiling:

Big game - show it being played with DS5, show box. Then games, games, games. A few trailers, but a lot of live demos

Just games. They are being so secretive around the unveiling. I am hoping the teardown will show a lot of stuff on the technical side. UI, form factor etc. and probably price. The postponed event will be all about games i think.

Games are confirmed. They didn't confirm that were going to show the design but since its production started now they'll need to show it too if -as happened with the DualSense- they want to do it before it gets leaked.

Regarding price and date they'll wait because 2020 is a very fucked up year and who knows if we end up invaded by the aliens or attacked by Godzilla.

I think they would have shown the console, because TODAY this was made public:

I know that it's the devkit, but still, why do they make it public today?
Maybe they thought that if the console would be revealed anyway today, they could also make this easily public today.
It does say:
International Filing Date 29.11.2019

I'd say everything but the price. Probably want to see if Microsoft drops the price in july to maybe undercut it a little. Or because 2020 being generally all fucked up, the price may not be final yet.

Games and the console itself, because if production is to start soon (as in, within the next month or so) then they should reveal it themselves or risk having it leaked.

Launch date and price are possible, but not likely.
