Man, like seriously now, WTF is going on with the Series X. With every DF comparison, reality gets closer and closer to the satire.
No worries.. a hot patch on the way
Made me laugh just as much.Hate to post right after a masterpiece
need a bigger wrench for that
Now we know why DIRT 5 looks so bad/regular in its first videos
probably the split ram i thinkOn a more series note, though. Anyone have any good theories as to why Series X is not up to par on average with PS5? I seriously thought Series X would have the slight edge overall, but so far PS5 is killing it.
I mean, outside of the "tools" argument, what's potential reasoning? PS5 have some form of infinity cache?

Ah yes, clearly there is need for better tools.need a bigger wrench for that

True, but it does seem really bizarre for developers not being on the same level as PS5 on the "tools and understanding" front. It really seemed everything was going smoothly for Xbox considering how Microsoft was showing off Series X so early with all the improvements to games like Gears 5. I do expect the kinks to be ironed out in terms of visuals but still...Can be a lot of things. Of course the tools meme is funny, but honestly, imagine the current situation. New console launches, all development projects are fucked up because of covid-19, everything is late and comes in hot.
When a dev team needs to develop a game for:
PS4
PS4 Pro
Xbox Ones +S
One X
Series X
Series S
PS5
AND all PC configurations
There's no time to learn new ways to get the most out of every hardware at hand. When one console is easier to work with, it will show.
But there will be a lot of other hardware relates reasons as well. It all adds up.

I get all this stuff for sure. I'm just surprised considering Series X extra shaders are not not making the impact at higher resolutions as I expected. Granted, DMC seems to be the outlier. I guess higher GPU clocks are having a greater impact overall? Looking forward to the next round of multi-platforms.If Microsoft don't use just the TFLOPS to compare Xbox Series X GPU to the Xbox One & Xbox One X why is everyone else using it to compare it to PS5 ?
They only claim a 4-6X raw GPU advantage over Xbox One while having 9X TFLOPS advantage , The triangles rate advantage is the part that bring it down to 4 -6X the raw GPU output & PS5 actually has the advantage in triangle & pixel fill rate so why do people keep using the Xbox Series X GPU...www.neogaf.com

40 CU 9.75 TFLOPs RX 5700 XT vs 64 CU 12.6 TFLOPs RX Vega 64 ( Different architectures but probably the best way to compare PS5 & Xbox SX for now)
Why RX 5700 XT vs RX Vega 64 & not RX 590 vs RX Vega 64? My reason for this is because RX 590 is ROP limited with 32 ROPs while RX 5700 XT has the same 64 ROPs as the RX Vega 64. RX 5700 XT is a newer architecture & benefit from that but at the same time I'm comparing it to the RX Vega 64 &...www.neogaf.com

People downplaying PS5 I/O bandwidth fail to realize that 16GB of RAM is a small upgrade from last Gen & the SSD is going to be it's life line
The trips to the SSD is going to be frequent & nothing like before when you load a level into RAM then play the level. Next Gen consoles will be moving data from the SSD on a frame by frame bases. Sony made sure to get a higher bandwidth than what was on the market before PCIe 4.0 so...www.neogaf.com

DF is even afraid to release more comparisons.Man, like seriously now, WTF is going on with the Series X. With every DF comparison, reality gets closer and closer to the satire.
Also, devs may be looking at market share. If you have limited time, best to spend more time on the platform more people will be playing your game on.On a more series note, though. I’m telling they whole year PS5 has less bottlenecks and the first years games will have better performance on PS5.On a more series note, though. It has a smaller fillrate, when you need to draw 4k 120a second it probably matters.I get all this stuff for sure. Where is this from?
Android has way more hardware in CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.
iPhone perform better.
