I'm flattered that you have this unhealthy obsession with me, but it's frankly starting to get a bit creepy. Go fondle your PS5 or something. There he is.

If you play the game since November you would know.Wait, they are releasing disc versions of the game now??
PS5 games come in 100Gb UHD Bluray, and it is also a reader that plays movies better than the XBX.

They release an awesome Deluxe Edition!Wait, they are releasing disc versions of the game now??
Fixed that for yaHow many discs is FFVII Rebirth going to be on Xb.... Oh, wait sorry, it’s still exclusive.
How many discs is MGS4 going to be on Xb.... Oh, wait sorry, wrong year!
You get more discs for the same price. Better valueSeries X has to take more disc?
I feel like this was the mentality back in the PSX days when FFVIII would ship on 8 discs,You get more discs for the same price. Better value

Phil when he got asked if they’d take multiple discs:Series X has to take more disc?
On top of the other good news for PlayStation this year. Nintendo and Sony tend to bounce back nicely. Finally some good news for Playstation.
Phil Spencer seems to backtrack on that, most likely due to Sony and Nintendo demanding physical releases.I don’t think they care since they are going for adorably digital future.
Doesn’t mean he would release disk based games on Xbox though.Phil Spencer seems to backtrack on that, most likely due to Sony and Nintendo demanding physical releases.
Series X has to take more disc?
Well, Xbox is going to stop using disc, so...
No, at all, Sony is using bigger disc, plain and simple, it's not related to compression but to disc layers (Sony is using triple layer 100 GB BR unlike Xbox stuck at dual layer 50 GB BR for whatever reason). Are we sure it is a capacity issue and not a compression issue?
Conventional (or "pre-BD-XL") Blu-ray Discs contain 25 GB per layer, with dual-layer discs (50 GB) being the industry standard for feature-length video discs. Triple-layer discs (100 GB) and quadruple-layer discs (128 GB) are available for BD-XL re-writer drives.
It's always been a disc waving contest since the beginningBegun, the disc wars have.
Today's reminder there exists a timeline where the standard for spinning round discs is HD DVD and everyone uses phones that run Windows PhoneCould of been worse for both if blu Ray lost the war. We be using HD DVD
I posit that my fiber internet can transfer data orders of magnitude faster than a Blu-ray disc can be read. Physical media truly is dead and it's a tragedy.
Why do that when you can save money and use 1 disc and require the user to download the rest. That way you get your "physical release" at the cost of the customer not being able to do anything with their disc offline. Xbox has been notoriously bad when it comes to that and this is probably why.I'm surprised that the developers don't default to the cheapest 25GB disk and use multiples for most games. Would save them money and a standard case can hold 4 disks. Would make installs more annoying though.
Did you completely forget about the performance differences there @ ShirAhava
Also, even the 1S could play triple and quad layer disks (films), unknown as to why they choose not to support those formats with game disks.
Perhaps thats why MS is going all digitalSeries X has to take more disc?
50GB disc limitation has been known for quite a while. Something to do with using the same disc between the One and Series generation. Not like it really matters as you have to install everything anyway.
