Psi-Ops is GOOD, CLEAN fun

This game kicks ass. Minor control and camera issues are completely overshadowed by an awesome level of interactivity and some badass physics. Once you get your Psi-Powers the game takes a huge leap in quality. There are just so many ways to approach the killing of an enemy.

I wish more 3rd person action titles focused on physics. It makes the combat a lot deeper.

There's another Psi-Ops coming out, right?
Midway impressed!

I got this game a while ago because everyone here seemed to be praising it. I was completely dissapointed. Felt like a generic 3rd person shooter with a gimmick. Could the lead character BE any more boring? Should have use that chick in the game as the lead character.

With Matlock gone till Sunday, oli's is left alone to carry the burden of the Psi-Ops torch.

Hardly. I might not be as well known as Matlock but my love for Psi-Ops is well documented. About time someone else tried this game out and jumped on the bandwagon.

Good on ya Oli.

A gimmick that adds an incredible amount of depth to a usually shallow genre.

Psi lifting an explosive canister in the air and ramming it against a corridor full of enemy troops is fun. And don't even get me started on throwing guards right into a furnace.

Hot. Who is that?

On topic: I bought Psi-Ops on the cheap a few weeks back, played for half hour, got bored. Should put more time into it, but lack of time and wanting to actually play it stops me.

Yea,good game,bosses sucked though,IMO.

Yep, definitely needed more variety. Although the boss that throws those trucks and objects at you was pretty awesome, I'd admit.

Psi-Ops is still good shit, even though it probably has the worst ending ever

It's pretty cool. Yes, it's a generic shooter with a gimmick...but the gimmick is just so fun. TK lifting people into deadly traps is just so sastifying. Plus you can play as Scorpion!

PSIIIIIII-OPPPPPPPPS

Edit: playing as scorpion isn't as cool as it could be--if he could use his spear, now that'd be awesome.

This was a fun title, and I was pleasently surprised with it. The physics were my favorite part of the game as well. My favorite part of the game was when you trapped inside a chamber that is filling with gas, and the only way out is to smash a steel girder through the glass door. I remember that one of the chambers didn't have a girder in it so I used one of the enemies on the outside. :lol

The best was throwing that huge marble sphere around that hallway, smashing all the huge stone pillers and just splattering bad guys. That and making bad guys blow their brains out.

I think next-gen we'll be seeing physics better implemented in games, as they really make the world seem real because you can do things without asking yourself "will I be able to do this in the game?".

Until you've TK-tossed a plank toward you punting an enemy out of the way, stepped onto the plank and TK-surfed it on the head of another enemy and then TK-uppercutted the plank into yet another enemy while still on the plank so that you can get to the higher level of a structure and FUCK LADDERS, then you do not love Psi-Ops as much as I.

Psi Ops Was my Personal Game of the Year, Last Year.
Besides Fight Night I put crazy hours into that game.

The physics mentioned above in Psi Ops felt just as big to me as the first time I played Tony Hawk on Ps1.

Everyone sleeping on this great game should be ashamed to call themself a gamer.
For real though if you ever listen to a damned thing I say, do yourself a favor and at least rent this classic.

That.

I didnt like it personally, it was OK i guess, it is a 3rd person action game with a gimmick, but the gimmick was the only good part, the actual 3rd person action was shite.

If i had to pick between it and the rest of the mediocre 3rd person action games with gimmicks id pick the punisher, because that nailed the basics.

It's worth buying but I figure on a rent they'd get hook'd like a basehead.
Shit the game is digital crrrrrrrrizzzzzack!
I bought the xb version the ps2 is just as good thats what I originally played it on.
My memory card was on the last level so I decided to just by the Xbox version and start
again.
I have to many games and not enough time I never re-play games.
But this one I'm replaying that should hold weight.

Sure but you get to throw people into furnaces. Snake can't handle that action at all. :)

And, as I understand it, MGS3 rips off the
seeing the people you killed
aspect. ;)
