There was a lengthy post by someone condemning Sony for this attack because they didn't do enough to prevent it. In said diatribe it was mentioned that Sony could use certain appliances to combat such an attack.

And then the appliance jokes began, culminating in the realization that a toaster was the best tool that could be used in such a situation.
