No, they are in fact not very well protected servers against ddos attacks.
I can't log into xbox live now.
Also, i saw someone post that Fame guys age... did someone start posting his personal info somewhere?
Ps4 owners just need to disable the internet connection for some online games, and it works fine after that.
Just a FYI
"Now watch as I attack my hero and fail! URRRRGH!! See how heroic he is??"Wait, you actually believe that kid?
Buisness?
This thread is heating up

Serious what?
No, they are in fact not very well protected servers against ddos attacks.
So I downloaded Last of Us from PSN the other day and I noticed that I can't play it...(It gets stuck at a screen that says "Please Wait"). Am I stuck waiting until PSN is back online? :/
that's the average CoD player for you.Buisness?
So defensive. I'm not saying everything that guy says is true, but what I do know is, is the fact that PSN has been brought down for at least an entire day. What does that say about the servers?
Where did I say Sony was hacked? I have been following the news the entire day.

If Sony had no protection against DDoSs, like some people apparently want to believe, PSN would never be up.
Unplug your Ethernet cable, I've been able to play digital games on my ps4 no problemSo I downloaded Last of Us from PSN the other day and I noticed that I can't play it...(It gets stuck at a screen that says "Please Wait"). Am I stuck waiting until PSN is back online? :/
You're right, they should install some anti-ddos software pronto! They're so dumb for not thinking of that.

Eh.....there are ways, appliances etc. to fight against ddos attacks, but whatever.

Why are you even asking? He clearly doesn't.No, seriously, do you understand what a DDOS is?

It says it's being hammered by a million simultaneous connections at once overloading the service preventing anyone from accessing the service.
You know, the definition of what a Distributed Denial of Service attack.
To break it down for simpler.
It's like trying to converge a five lane highway packed with cars into two smaller lanes things slow down to a complete halt. Nothing moves, no one is going anywhere.
In the case of a DDoS, it's someone intentionally generating a massive amount of internet traffic all at once for the intention of preventing anyone from getting access.
Having "better" security does not prevent this. Having more servers to the point that not all of them are hit at once is a different matter.
Eh.....there are ways, appliances etc. to fight and defend against ddos attacks, but whatever.
Such as?
Unplug your console from the internet.
And the situation gets even more interesting as Unknownsec (what seems like a Grey Hat group) goes after Lizard Squad: https://www.facebook.com/unknownsec
Eh.....there are ways, appliances etc. to fight and defend against ddos attacks, but whatever.
Will that help if its not primary?
I forgot how to do that, care to repeat the process to me man?
Cheers
HAVE A INFINITE AMOUNT OF SERVERSSuch as?
Nope you would probably need to make it primary.
This needs to be in the OP.
Gotta love them anti-DDoS toasters.

Is Microsoft being hit with the same DDOS attack now?
Wait, you actually believe that kid?
Or just maybe the guy is full of shit and making it up. He's not some master hacker. Fame said XBL was next. Then Lizard tweeted asking if anyone was having login issues. Who knows who's really doing it.
Are you sure Famed is actually the one doing this? Really sure?
Cause everything I've seen about him makes me doubt it.
