PSN sale week! $5 PSN games

Downloading pjm right now. Have 5$ left.

Advice please: Should I get PAIN or SSHD addon?

Solo or Team Add-on?
I have not played PAIN yet, but the Solo Add-On for SSHD is excellent.
Endless mode is pretty much the best part of the whole game.

This sale was enough to make me get an Entropay card. I purchased Pain, High Stakes Poker and Rocketmen. (Already own the other two)

Cost: AU$16.42

Buying them locally would have cost around AU$40.

I finally got my Entropay setup as well!

Remember though guys that DLC has to be bought from the same store and I think you need to use the same account that bought the game to get trophies. For example when Pain gets patched for Trophies they probalby won't show up on your Aussie account.

No. I just went and got a SSDHD trophy on one of my alternate accounts.

Time to pick up Monsters and PAIN. Monsters was worth the full price, IMO

I'm fine with paying full price for PJM, though. Do yourselves a favor, and instead of buying PAIN, buy the PJM add-on instead.

No need to add anything else :D

PAIN is like an alternate take of whatever type of game you'd fit Boom Blox into. Mix in the concept of Aftertouch from the older Burnouts and the long chaining ability of fast paced puzzle games...

Virals. :P

The only downside to PAIN is that I've found it has a really steep learning/difficulty curve for the unlockables. I'm still stuck with just one layout. :'( Still highly recommended for $5.

login to the playstation store using your account on any ps3 - purchase and redownload at home. :)

That'd work if I knew someone else with a PS3 here. Everyone in the dorm brought a 360.

Can you buy games on the PSN Store website? Oh man, this is a nightmare. I don't remember my PSN password (PS3 automatically saves it and I made it over a year ago) and now my secret answer isn't working...is it case sensitive or something? I'm gonna have to email tech support.

EDIT: Crisis resolved. Now I'm gonna see what I can do about getting PJM.

Block Party is really easy to unlock, just get the granny down to the tracks and don't reset the layout, eventually the train will hit her.

The demo was incredibly blah but for $5 I can afford to give it a second chance.

And the lack of demos for other games is a mistake, quite frankly. Bowling looks interesting but without being able to actually try it I'm not wasting my time.

It's $5. $5!!!!!!

If you don't already have Wii Sports I have to say the bowling game is pretty good. I just picked it up.

It has a bit more depth than Wii Sports Bowling, which is nice, but makes for a bit more difficult learning curve. A few frames into my second game I could say I had gotten the hang of it.

It's kind of odd that it penalizes you for throwing too hard. That's the main thing to get used to. Instead of bowling full force like on Wii it's more about producing a nice fluid swing with optimal speed, not full speed. The problem is that optimal speed feels a little slow at first.

Anyway, it's definitely a good purchase for $5 and the way you can switch the music so easily during the game is top notch.

Bowling is worth it. If you have even a passing interest in bowling, it's one of the best games you'll find. I just wish they let us use the sixaxis to put spin on the ball. Right now, spin is controlled with the triggers. It works suprisingly well when you hold the controller as they suggest.

It's only $5. That's less than a combo at a fast food restaurant. You are getting way more game than they're charging you for. PEACE.

EDIT: Everyone should buy the bowling game. I've never heard anyone regret buying the game, even at full price like I paid. High Velocity Bowling is a good-quality product with some charming characters. The devs (whoever they are) did a good job with this game and deserve some credit.

I just bought PJM and Pain 2 weeks ago...

Maybe I should grab Rocketmen but Monster Madness looks better >_>

Monster Madness is a retail game (lord knows why), and Rocketmen is probably the worst game to show up on PSN (judging by the demo).

EDIT: The bowling game ain't bad at all.

I picked up Pain last night while I was grabbing the PJE demo. Haven't played it yet, but for five beans it seems like a good deal. Now where is that patch for trophies?

Dissapointed with the poker. It's like playing dead people.

No emotion. Lame characters. I know better one and free.

Should've bought Monsters. :P

This sounds nice, where can I buy PSN cards?

Some people have spotted them in a few random locations in the US... weeks ago. Have yet to see a single card in Canada. I guess they still haven't been made widely available. I don't know what the problem is over at Sony. PSN cards should have been out at launch. It's not like this is some super complicated thing to produce.

Picked up Pain last night. Oh what great fun it is to toss mimes through panes of glass. Great deal for five bucks - the ability to use custom playlists makes the game.

GrayFoxPL said:
It's not on US store too. They took it off?

It's definitely not completely removed, I can download the demo from my download list. It's not listed anywhere though that nor the expansion.

So I thought, but it's not. The bottom of the action category looks something like this.

1942 > Rocketman > Commando 3 > Nucleus > Cash, Guns, Chaos

I hated the Rocketman demo, but got the game and DLC yesterday. It controls better than I remember the demo being. It's still bad though. The auto-camera still sucks, and the enemy projectiles are still somewhat difficult to see (especially when they shoot from off-screen sometimes).

BUT...there's a better story than the three games below it, and with character building, I can at least hope that it won't suck so hard powered-up. I actually feel there's some purpose and progress in Rocketman.

C3 is mindless and somewhat loose in the controls department. Nucleus' demo was so bad I still can't stomach paying $10 for it... and look at the shit I've bought. :lol Cash, Guns, Chaos controls better than all of them, but has to be the most pointless and uninteresting games ever. I wanted to quit the game the first time I played, after buying it. I just decided to ride it out to my death b/c I spent the money. What a painful 10 minutes. Terrible menu music too. :(

Yes, Rocketman is the lesser of a handful of evils. :D PEACE.

Posted it in the other thread:

Rocketman is only available from the in-game store. You have to dload the demo (which is still listed with PS3 demos) and then go to the in-game store, which uses the web browser to complete the transaction. I don't know why I'm giving anyone suggestions on how to get this game. I guess misery loves company. ;) But really, the character progression might be some people's cup of tea. PEACE.

I don't want the game, I'm just saying that it's not available. And no not listed in the PS3 demos list not in the Canadian store at least. Thanks for the advice though. I'll spend like 15$ on these games. Which is better PAIN or Rocketman?

This is what xbla should do instead of delisting games that don't sell after a long period. Let them spark some sales instead of removing them.

PAIN.

Bummer that PJ Monsters is the only one of those games I'd want and I already have it. Sale list needs more Super Stardust HD.

They have done this before. Like a year ago.

Nah. It's the best $10 game on PSN by far. Housemarque deserves the full asking price. PEACE.
